Wow. This beer is amazing. I had it fresh last week and this current batch is even better than the last. Very different approach to most Imperial IPA's. This is light in color with a fruity aroma. The flavor has a very clean malt bill along with some more fruity hops. The Bitterness is high, over 100 IBU, but the balance of it is stupendous! It finishs clean with a bitter aftertaste.

First time Bottled!!!! A Outstanding Double IPA! Anber in color with a small but sustaining head. There’s a lot of fruity aromatics of Tropical fruits (POG) & Pine notes. A cornucopia of aromatics that translate very well into the palate, what you smell is what you get. The Carbonation is on point (my only previous gripe on tap) for this inaugural bottling. Arguably one of the hoppiest beers to come out of the OC. Surely takes the crown away from suckle sandwich as my favorite OC DIPA. All in all one of the most exciting beers i have had this year

what an underated beer from an underrated brewery. this beer is the anti-thesis of west coast ipas. if the moniker of imperial ipa is the sweetness that comes from drinking gf west coast or boots knuckle sandwich dipa. this light colored beer is very much the anti-thesis of that style. and what a welcome addition to this style of beer. it proudly shows its dipa bloodlines by its abv but don't be mistaken by the color of the beer or the easy way it goes down. Lots of biscuit aroma, and the finishing hops truly balance this beer. it's not in bottles, yet, so go down and get some. let your conscience be your guide.

On-tap at the source in a 14 ounce goblet. On to the beer:

This triple dry-hopped Double IPA is goldenrod colored and topped with a centimeter of creamy head before it falls into a decent lace that lashes about the glass. Being triple dry-hopped beer, I had a feeling this would smell like the equivalent of crack rock, and that potential is realized. There's a lot of vibrant fruits noted in the aroma, including peach, passionfruit, mango, fresh pine, and pineapple.

Much of the aroma transfers into the flavor of the beer. Tastes very nice, though I think the carbonation is slightly low. That said, the pineapple flavor takes on the character of a liqueur, sweet and syrupy, along with splashes of passionfruit, mango, a mélange of tropical juices. A bit of the alcohol is felt, expected given how strong it stands. With all this on the table, it comes across almost as much of a hop liqueur than a beer.

Very good IPA as it stands, right there in the "battle of CA-57" with Knuckle Sandwich, Humulus Lager, and Royalty for the hoppiest beer produced in the region. With a little more carbonation, I think this beer could cause an earthquake in the land of Double IPA's.
