From the can, it pours a hazy amber color with a really nice thick white head that slowly reduces as you enjoy the brew. Some lacing. The nose is citrus. The taste is primarily pineapple and grapefruit with some bitterness.

A thanks to the amazing woodychandler for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a bright yellow color with a 1 inch head. Smell is strong of citrus. Taste is grapefruit, orange peels, a touch of pineapple, considerably bitter and damn sure unbalanced. Feels medium/light bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer, but I was hoping for more.

I had this on draft at the Little Tap House in Portland, Maine. This is a very good beer. I would gladly drink this again and again. It has a really nice finish.

Oh, man, their eastern neighbors get all the beer love, but I totally dig what is coming to me in CANs from the Granite State. Yeah, yinz CAN go chase all of the Lawson's & Hill Farmstead that you want, but I'm digging some NH goodness! Yesterday was my New CANned Henniker Beer Sunday (Week 733) & I left things unfinished at the end of the day. Time to include, vice exclude!
From the CAN: "New Hampshirites are a different breed. We take pride in voting first, our state motto, not wearing helmets, and shooting off fireworks legally. Sure, we may not have the warmest climate or the biggest coastline, but we do have some great brews. Some might call us weird, but we’re damn sure never gonna change. We’re #NewHampshireforDamnSure Damn Sure Double IPA is brewed once a month in limited quantities to ensure freshness and a bombastic hoppiness."
I Crack!ed open the vent & beCAN a slow, gentle Glug into the awaiting glass. About halfway in, I realized that clarity was not this beer's stong suit, so I ramped up my Glug speed. It responded by exploding with foam, eventually forming over two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with great retention, leaving loads of lacing in its wake. Color was a deeply hazy/lightly cloudy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5). Nose had an emphasis on grapefruit, but I also got pineapple & mango in there. Mmm. Mouthfeel was medium, but a little on the thin side for this style. Oh well. The taste was really intense - very evocative of a grapefruit/pineapple juice blend! I especially liked the way that these two flavors meshed, keeping it from being neither too bitter nor too sweet. There were some other fruit flavors going on in there, but those were the standouts. Finish was dry, but not really as bitter as the "80 IBU" as marked on the label. I CAN see drinking this one again!
