Style: American IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 7.00%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
An India Pale Ale - gets its golden copper color from the light caramel malts, which provide a solid backbone to the support all the great hops. This beer presents with an overwhelming citrus aroma that leads into an unmistakable flavor of grapefruit. Hop Slinger leaves you with a nice dry bitterness that pairs well with spicy curries, salty fried foods and ginger based desserts.

Mellow fruitiness on the head and pallet, just enough malt flavor. Good beer.

On-tap 8/17/2014 at Battleship Brewhouse in Fall River, MA, served in a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a light gold color, with a thin white head that fades slowly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains fruity citrus, floral hops and caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts out with some fruity citrus and caramel sweetness. Then a strong but not over-powering hops presence comes in. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean and dry.

O: Very tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, good kick, good representation of style, this is a very solid IPA to drink for a long time.

A cold 22 oz. bottle into a nonic - dark orange or light coppery, nearly opaque, and a nice foamy tan head which subsides into thick lacing. Aroma Is fruity, not citrusy, maybe pineapple, and caramel. Taste: oh, my! much nicer than what I was expecting based on previous reviews! There's a solid sweet malty spine fleshed out with some really interesting hops. Very nicely balanced. Feel: nearly perfect! I wouldn't call this 'dry,' it's slightly on the sweeter side, NOT overly-carbonated like so many IPA's seem to be. This would be excellent served with anything off the grill. You know, I wasn't planning on finishing this bottle at one sitting but I do believe that perhaps the kids can get themselves to bed tonight.

A: Great copper color

S: I loved the nose on this beer not all IPA's have what Hop Slinger does

T: Good hop taste. Not too bitter not too weak right in the middle on that.

M: Well carbonated for a beer from a new brewery that tends to be rare.

O: I liked I would say it is a top 3 NH brewed IPA. Well done Henniker!
