Visited on a weekend afternoon. I was staying in a motel very nearby and this looked like a good bet. I've been to a different Oggi's before, so I thought I knew what to expect.

Here's the straight poop; it's a sports themed pizzeria. It is frequented by loads of children's sports teams and also plenty of adults who like to watch sports on TV. If this is a deal-breaker for you (which it almost is for me), then stay away. The place is noisy and there are TVs everywhere you look blaring some variety of sports at you.

Service was slow but friendly and accurate.

The Oggi's house beers are brewed by Left Coast and lean towards the lighter end of the craft spectrum. I was not impressed with the Black Magic Stout I had and I had no interest in trying their lighter, macro-imitating styles.

The pizza is the sole bright spot.

if you must, just get the pizza to go and pick up some good beer from your favorite bottle shop.

I visited the Oggi's in Encinitas with a few buddies. We were there on a Thursday evening and the place was pretty busy and full. There seemed to be some little league baseball teams holding some sort of get together. Still it was a good atmosphere for us. There are TV monitors everywhere you look, so we could follow the NBA game that was going on as well as watch surfing, baseball, and several other things as we pleased. We had two kinds of pizza: the supreme was pretty good, but the "Italian Stallion" was really awesome. I had a pint of their Black Magic Stout and we all got a pitcher of their house IPA. Both were very good and true to style. I also tasted their pale ale and it was good, too. So from what I experienced, their pizza is good, their beer is good, and the atmosphere is good, too. I'd happily go back.

Right off I5 this is a decent stop for pizza and beer. A fair selection of tap beers, but nothing particularly special to note. Large chalet style building with a large center sports TV island. Small bar for such a large restaurant, which is basically one very large room. Plenty of parking and it seems to be well staffed for the fairly large crowds. Very different from the Oggi's I've visited previously. This is likely a converted venue rather than an original Oggi's, but I didn't have a chance to ask.
