Pours mauve/purple with a fading head.
Nose shows overt raspberry, roast and very little else. Nice though.
Floral flavours too, very perfumous. A huge raspberry hit too followed by a mouth-puckering sourness.
Very prickly carbonation, perhaps a bit over the top.

Pours a dark raspberry red hue with a pink three finger head and a touch of lacing, the smell is a touch sweet with strong raspberries broken up with some funk and pepper, the mouthfeel is near perfection its medium bodied with spritzy carbonation and the taste thankfully is not sweet bomb I was expecting from aroma it starts off with a sweet pinch of raspberries then along comes the funky Brett and pepper to make this beer real enjoyable with a sour tart raspberry finish and overall its another enjoyable drop from these guys just expensive cheers.

750ml waxed bottle bought from The Vineyard, Belfast... This is a collaboration with Beavertown brewery

Poured a dark hazy pink colour. Pinky white head poured quite thick and foamy then faded to thin wispy layer with thickish edges... light patchy lacing...

Aroma - Strong sharp sweet raspberries, some vinegar sourness coming through, light woody and earthy notes, peppery, light biscuit malts, cut grass hints, light musty lambic traces, oaky, some sour cherry hints also...

Tast - Tart creamy raspberries, nice sharp acidic bite comes through, salty notes, very light sweetness, cider vinegar sourness, some vanilla, musty and woody notes, nice pepperiness, some nutty notes - almond maybe ?

Feel - Quite sharp but becomes smoother after a few sips... light / medium bodied... incredibly drinkable at 5.7%

Overall - An excllent and slightly unusual take on a Belgian framboise.... highly recommended
