Fromagerie Elgin is a great spot for amazing cheese and they have some great beers to go with the cheeses as well. This is the best (and only) specialty cheese shop in Sudbury if not most of Northern Ontario. They easily have over 40 different cheeses. The staff is great and very knowledgeable when it comes not only to cheese but beer and wine pairings as well, always great service here.

The beers are mostly all Belgian styles or inspired beers. Lots of Unibroue (La Fin Du Monde, Trois Pistoile, Maudite), Duvel, Chimay and La Trappe. Hoegarden and Leffe were on tap the last time I was in. A few other beers as well, Steam Whistle, 50 and Stella are some that I can remember of hand. Nice seating areas with a neat patio that's great in the summer, pretty relaxed atmosphere. The cheese plates are top notch and very well priced. Great Pâté's as well as soups and desserts. I'd love to see a bigger beer selection, I love big Belgian beers but I also love a nice hop forward IPA to go with a nice Blue or sharp Cheddar. So many options, Brown Ales, Porters I can keep going on and on. Fromagerie Elgin is a nice change for beer lovers in Sudbury.
