There’s nothing like the moody haze on early morning New England water to get your blood pumping. The assertive grapefruit and fresh hop flavors of this IPA will hit you like a trophy rainbow slamming a pheasant tail nymph.

-spiegelau ipa glass. Best before 9.30.28. Consumed 08.02.18.

A: Bright and hazy o.j. appearance gets off to a very good start. The name says it all, bright and juicy orange pulp, that surely doesn't disappoint. A dirty, dull cream colored head is thin, and weakly holding providing no visible lacing. The color, depth, and haziness is the selling point here, a beautiful, bright color, thick and juicy orange juice appearance will get the tongue wet with delight.

S: Sweet citrusy-orange hops have a light and feather and flowery delivery. nice lemonade tartness, wet and fresh. Hints of semi-dry pineapple and tropical notes give off a pleasant and fruity sense. Good awareness and finishes off with a light pungent tropical-orange peel hopping.

T: Tart and flowery hops deliver on the flavor. Orange-tropical hops are flowery, with some tartness and bitterness, lightly dry, with some barley and wheat backing. Citrus is flowery and leaves with a tart, tropical note off the tongue.

M: Creamy wheat texture on the tongue, lightly dry and bittering, tropical hop warmth.

O: A beautiful presentation in the vessel, lives up to the N.E. style hype. Good aroma, tart and tropical notes are respectable, not extreme, but ideal for multiples. Not going to knock your socks off with a big blast of flavor like the big boys, but rather is focused more on a lightly tart and dry tropical pungent hopping. Nice drinker.

Pours hazy which is to be expected with New England IPA's. Color could be described as a light, cloudy, orange color. head was thin and white. Smell of strong notes of grapefruit with earthy undertones. Carbonation was solid medium with a slight creaminess to add to the mouthfeel. Taste follows smell with a grapefruit flavor that is "musty" in a good way. Overall if you're a fan of NEIPA's you should enjoy this brew.

It isn't this Morning, but well nigh the end of the day on this site since they go by Zulu time which is currently +5 hours GMT. I want to get this one in before 1900 (Local) so that it still counts for 23 October on The CANQuest (tm). I am Hazy on where it came from, but I think that it might have been part of the recent drop-off by/from my local, in-person trader, @tone77 . Thanks!

From the CAN: "There’s nothing like the moody haze on early morning New England water to get your blood pumping. The assertive grapefruit and fresh hop flavors of this IPA will hit you like a trophy rainbow slamming a pheasant tail nymph."; "36 IBU".

I did some in-CAN agitation before Crack!ing open the vent since the brewery was identifying it as being "Hazy" & so clarity was not a CANcern or issue. Once I had the vent opened, I went with a solid, free-flowing Glug into the awaiting glass. As you CAN imagine, this caused it to foam mightily, forming just under two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, eggshell-white head with good retention. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5). Nose smelled like an Orange Julius, orange & vanilla with a little tangerine thrown in for good measure. Mouthfeel was medium with the soft creaminess imparted by the addition of lactose. The taste was not quite as sweet as the nose had led me to expect, but there was definitely an orange-tangerine & vanilla swirl quality to its flavor. Finish was semi-dry & while it may be a part of the style, it was not to my taste. YMMV.

I don't understand the love/hate debate with hazy NEIPA, because to me if it tastes good..... This may not be the best of this style that we've had, it is really good. Smell is awesome.... Citrus and strong. Beginning taste is great, but the end... seems to run flat. On tap at Summit Inn. Rough day after a long month....

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a very cloudy golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is juicy, citrus. Taste is also juicy, grapefruit, light oranges, moderate bitterness. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer worth trying.

Nice beer drinking from a 12 oz can. Found at a local Wegmans. Have paid a lot more for NEIPA with lesser results. This beer is smooth and has a nice citrus scent and taste. Very enjoyable. Feeling hazy and goes well with food. Nice bitter finish.

Bought a 12-oz can at the Clam Jam street festival in Easton, PA today. Poured it into a plastic cup. Nice hazy orange color, good nose and very drinkable.

Undated can into pint glass. Pours a hazy orange with a thin off-white head. Initial impression is a very juicy NEIPA, predominantly orange but with some grapefruit and a touch of earthy dankness. Mouthfeel is medium, as is carbonation. Alcohol is well hidden. Finish is somewhat bitter and dry. Not the best NEIPA I've ever had, but defintiely respectable.
