Draft served in a dimpled mug, quick review from written notes.

Pale straw gold with racing carbonation, with a greenish tint oddly enough. Lasting surface coverage of frothy white foam and some spotty lacing around the edges.

Aroma is vaguely minerally with traces of lager yeast.

Effervescent with a light astringency, crackery malt with a slight grassy bitterness in the aftertaste. Light bodied, slightly overcarbed. Easy drinking, though not much nuance here. Versatile with food, which makes perfect sense as a house beer at The Radler.

500 ml can, no canned on date or freshness information. Acquired a single can of this stuff from 20 West Wine in Lombard. The can lists a 4.80% abv. "Logan Square's #1 Bavarian Style Lager" according to the can.

Poured into a Duvel tulip glass.

A - Pours a pale cloudy straw gold body. About a finger of thin frothy white head that leaves some fat spotty lacing. Appears actively carbonated. Looks good for what it is.

S - A simple aroma, but pleasant enough for what it is. Lots of earthy, somewhat husky cereal grains. Notes of wheat, corn, husk, grain, cream, yeast. Simple, but hits it's mark.

T - Follows the nose: corn, husk, cereal grains, lots of creamy yeasty flavor. A simple, but flavorful beverage. A bit of an earthy fruity hop note makes itself known also. A very distinct creamy yeast profile makes this one unique it seems.

M - Smooth & creamy. Crisp & light. Very easy-drinking stuff with good carbonation.

Overall, a nice 'Haus' lager from Flesk. Could see this one pairing well with food.
