Dark brown with garnet edges and thin crystalline bubbles slowly rising from the deep.

Smell is just full on deep, rich and sophisticated fig and raisin.

Taste is deep and dark caramel, fig, brown sugar, smoke and raisin.

Slick, medium round and sticky with some heat.

This is the best Braggot I have ever had, and probably ever will have, not being a huge fan of the style.

This wonderful hybrid took the brewer a year to make. It was totally worth it.

It looks something like the beer (saison) on which it was based but with just a tad of head. The taste is out of this world. Extremely complex, yet you feel like you can just drink it. Analysis is unnecessary.

The aftertaste is sublime too. I'm not sure there will ever be any more of this. I'm glad I got a taste. I don't think the alcohol was as high as the first reviewer stated but I don't remember for sure. If they doing have this when you go to the Bottlehouse but they have anoher braggot, do yourself a favor and have a glass. You are in for a treat.

Having this on-tap at the brewery. Served to me in a a wine glass that’s sort of like a tulip glass, this beer draws a dark brown color with some ruby/amber highlights when held up to the light. Has a tan head that’s about half an inch thick when first poured that settles to a thick ring lining the inside of the glass. Not much lacing. Aromas of dark fruit notes of plums, dates and figs are all certainly present along with honey, some oak and spices. The taste is pretty much the same with honey and dark fruit sweetness followed with some oaked spice notes. Also alcohol. Very good. Nice and sweet. Has a smooth, slightly crisp, slightly oily and just slightly sticky, medium bodied mouthfeel with light to medium carbonation. Has a clean finish. Easy to drink.
