Poured from the bottle into a tulip glass.

Dark orange bodied, with a fairly good amount of clarity until you add the dregs of course. Minimal head creation, barely half a finger but manages to always keep a collar while drinking with it's off white top.

Aroma seems large on Belgian sweetness. Good amounts of caramel, more syrupy smelling than farmhouse, with touches of wheat like chewyness and a sense of hay as well. The sweetness though is pretty ovepowering on the nose compared to the rest of the beers aromatic character.

Palate is very sweet. Tolerable sweetness but quite a syrupy tasting caramel like body. Lots of candy Belgian sucrose mixing with a bit of flat and slightly lifeless mouthfeel. Chewy depth is here but not really supportive, a good minor hop and herbality on the finish reminds more to what we should be tasting.

This comes off far more like a sweet Beligan Ambre, and a very sugary one at that. Farmhouse character is really getting sledgehammered here. Drinkable, but really not a good example of the style.

L: brilliant, gold, 1” white fluffy foam collar produces thick ledges of lace. No chunks floating around in this one but I have had other bottles with floating sediment.
S: Light fruit with a little funk in the aroma
T: Light fruit, rich light malts, citrus, peach.
F: Exceptionally creamy and fluffy in the mouth, medium body, above average carbonation.
O: A classic Biere de Mars.

Bottle I brought to share at AndrewK’s tasting.

Pours a murky honey orange with no head and no lacing. Smell is of malt and honey with some slight notes of oxidation. Taste is much the same with a sweet finish. This beer has a low level of carbonation with an almost flat mouthfeel. Overall, this is an average beer that shows poor aging coupled with a extremely lacking mouthfeel.

Pours red-gold with a crip white soapy head. Chunks of yeasty sediment.

Aroma is malty sweetness tempered with anise hints of melon and vague yeasty spice.

Taste is caramel malt up front. Slight acidic fruit notes. Musty and peppery. Finishes with a a hint of mint and a lingering mineral quality.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied.

Overall a very interesting and flavorful beer.

Poured a bright cloudy orange, nice inch of sticky white head, and lots of sediment settling about.

The smell has a nice light sweetly malt with a bit of grain, and a light mustyness.

The flavor is sweet and lightly corny malt, a bit of mustyness and some light tartness, long lingering spices, a touch of oxidization.

The mouthfeel is light with nice carbonation and a mild level of oilyness.

Very solid, benchmark quality Biere de Mars.

A pale yellow, almost clear beer with a small, fast falling head and decent lacing. Aroma is mostly sweet, with a touch of light spiciness. The taste of this beer is very much the same; simple, perhaps a bit overly sweet, with faint spices and a hint of tartness. Very low bitterness; almost no hops presence to speak of. A little fruity citrus note underneath all the sweetness. Still, fairly light, the malt aspect isn’t too interesting either. Not complex at all. It’s pretty refreshing, with good carbonation and a clean finish. Paired well with a pizza dinner. Can’t say I’ll be rushing back to buy another bottle though. One-dimensional and a bit overpriced.

A: The beer is slightly hazy light yellow in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high off white head that quickly died down, leaving delicate lacing covering the surface and a ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: There are light aromas of grainy malts and apples in the nose along with some hints of floral hops.
T: Similar to the smell, the beer has some fruity flavors with notes of apples and some malty sweetness; these are balanced off by flavors of grainy malts towards the finish.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. There are some hints of dryness towards the end of the finish.
O: The beer is very easy to drink and refreshing, unlike some of the other beers in the style.

I had originally read the 'Traditional French Farmhouse Ale' and skipped over the 'Biete de Mars' on the label and confused this with a saison. Imagine my surprise when I cracked this open.

Poured a light amber color with a bit of white head. Decent lacing left on glass.

Nose consists of some sweet malts and a hint of pepper.

Taste is slightly sweet. Very mild. None of the pepper flavor I detected in the nose. Minimal bitterness.

This is an ok, though fairly forgettable beverage. I wouldn't go out of my way to try this one.
