IDK. Almost done my first, starting to grow on me (a little). Nice brown color, head doesnt last, I like the low carb approach. Big aroma, chocolate, vanilla, touch of cinnamon. Wish the taste followed, but is more vanilla forward. Not a big fan of vanilla in beer but this is not overdone. Easy drinking, creamy mouthfeel. Overall not bad. and a good value at $2 per.

I poured the beer into a shaker pint glass. The head dissipated quickly, but there were a few traces left over. The beer is a very dark brown, almost black. There's not much to smell. I can taste vanilla, and it does not overpower the rest of the beer. I can feel a little alcohol warmth.

Dark chocolate brown in color – nearly black. Poured with a short, dense, mocha, beige colored foam with moderate retention. Medium sweet dark malt, dark chocolate and vanilla aromas. Light roasty notes and earthy hop aromas emerge as this warmed up. Medium light bodies with medium light carbonation. Boozy heat through the middle to the finish. Medium light dark malty flavors and a hint of chocolate up front before the medium hop bitterness rolls through the middle. Bitter, boozy heat from the middle to the end. Finished with a light, lingering hop bitterness, a hint of vanilla, and a light alcoholic burn. Body is on the thinner side with a hint of creaminess through the middle but it disappears as quickly as it begins. Booziness is borderline hot, at times a bit harsh, detracting from the overall drinkability. Balance is off with the bitterness and booziness erasing the malty characters that never really have a chance.

12 bottle into tulip glass
Very dark brown but not quite black. Tan head. Smell is sorta vanilla. A bit of roast too. Taste starts sweet but then finishes with an odd metallic aftertaste. Not good. Medium bodied. Overall a big miss.

12oz bottle into a chalice. no freshness dating.
black/brown body. small tan head which dissipates to a ring. no lacing.
not much on the nose except a very faint chemical smell bordering on unpleasant.
sweet stout flavor, feeling the vanilla, a little booziness at the end.
mouth is close to full. the vanilla leaves a coating which wears on you after a while.
overall, just an okay drink to my palate. seems like it's a lesser beer than advertised.

Did not appreciate the vanilla overtones. I would not get this again.

Poured into a 16 oz snifter at close to room temperature not sure when it was bottled. Pours a very dark brown with a two inch light khaki head that leaves a few wispys of lace behind.
Smell is fudge, smoke, vanilla, coffee, oat grains, and some pipe tobacco and leather.
Taste is more about the vanilla, worthers, dark chocolate upfront gives way to some smoky leather tobacco and oat grains, and a butter scotch finish.
Mouthfeel is creamy but a tad thin, light carbonation, not really dry, and good drinkability for its ABV.
Overall this is a nice beer, not one dimensional at all, very complex, I really wish it was a little bigger on body. Thanks @jzeilinger for this very complex brew.
