Growler poured into tulip glass.

A: Pours a cloudy amber with a white head, decent retention and lacing.

S: Coffee and floral hop scents.

T: Strong bitter taste. Resinous hop flavors and the coffee flavors mingle well, and its hard to discern which is which. Could be a bit more balanced

M: Fair amount of carbonation(especially for a growler). Medium bodied and very bitter aftertaste. Alcohol is well hidden.

O: This is a decent brew and unique. I wish I had it a bit more fresh(as well as on tap vs growler) as I feel it would be more complex and enjoyable.

Another brew form Tracy!

A: Medium orange brown in color with quite a few chunks floating about.

S: Tropical fruits, grapefruit, and a light hint of espresso.

T: Grapefruit, citrus, and tropical fruits, very light toasted note, and a hint of rich espresso. Bitterness is certainly fairly aggressive, but melds well with the brew. Lingering earthy bitterness, with touches of bitter coffee.

M: Medium in body, with medium-low carbonation.

O: Overall a pretty interesting brew. The coffee is just enough to notice it, I'd be curious what a little more would do. Seems like if you go through the trouble of adding it, you might as well be able to pick it out a bit more. I don't think you need to hit people over the head with it, but I am curious to see how many people would know it's there if you didn't tell them.

EDIT: I actually had a second can of this, and the coffee is way more present in this one.

Pours a lightly hazed golden orange with a thick, creamy head that settles to an attractive bubbly covering. Smells of fresh coffee beans, roasted nuts, and caramel...almost no discernible hop presence, but the coffee infusion is extremely well-done. Flavor is creamy iced coffee, pine resin, a touch of grapefruit, and espresso roastiness. The hop seems to blend seemlessly with the natural fruitiness of the beans, so I wouldn't call this "IPA" particularly hoppy. Medium-light bodied, decently crisp and bitter. Very enjoyable.

The IPA is extremely apparent, but where's the coffee? I would give this a 3.5 overall for just an IPA because it is solid for the style although a bit too hoppy. But there is no coffee anywhere to be found and I was really looking forward to it.

Poured into a teku pint. No freshness date.

A- Pours a medium amber color with a 1/2 inch off-white head that retains well before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a mostly full sheet of surface foam. Semi-resilient lacing leaves small clots behind.

S- Sweet iced coffee aroma mingles well with the mild hop presence. Also some milk chocolate and caramel.

T- Lots of sweet coffee at first, then the piney hop taste kicks in but is restrained and leads to a bitter finish that fuses with the coffees bitterness for a lovely synthesis of flavor. The afterbite is where the main pleasure is as it keeps me wanting to go back for more sips.

T- Sharp from the hops with medium carbonation and a body leaning toward the lighter side.

O- This is even better than the first time it came out. Not quite as amazing as Stone's Dayman but a more than acceptable substitute for the time being.

This is a crystal clear, brownish orange with a white head. There is a bit of lacing on the side of the glass. The aroma is floral hops and fresh roasted coffee. The taste is sweet and malty up front with iced coffee coming right behind. It finishes with bitter coffee and hops. Pretty nice coffee IPA.
