got at Aldi for $9.50...not bad
A decent coffee stout for the summer. Some of their other stouts are worthy to try not to sure about any of their IPAs.

this is an all around tasty and easily quaffable stout. It is on the lighter side IMHO and it works. nice roasted oatmeal flavors. decent head. light on the coffee. it has a nice semisweet flavor with a drying finish.

well done and have already bought a second sixer. local and fresh!

I have had a beer or two from a store from thimble and may have gotten old ones so I didn't really seek out. I however went to an event at the brewery and was fully impressed with the entire line up and gave them another chance and have not been disappointed since.

dark very little lacing., nice aroma coffee shines through. Thinnish feel for a stout. It's low alcohol ,lack of sweetness and mouthfeel hurt it for me. Still a good aroma, and nice coffee flavor would make it a nice session beer.......just not what I expect from a stout

Appearance: Arrives fudge brown with a rather modest head; just a few strands of lace

Smell: Overwhelms with coffee and char

Taste: Quite a bit of char, up front, with the coffee building and dominating through the finish; espresso-like and slightly fruity with a bitter, roasty finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with a really spritzy carbonated feel

Overall: I am a bit disappointed in this beer as the mouthfeel didn't go with the style and the coffee was too dominant

Bottle from Big Y.

Black with dark brown highlights and capped with a light brown head with decent retention and no lacing, this looks solid. The nose is solid. Moderate roast with a combination of sry, grainy coffee from the malt and fresher, fruitier coffee from the addition, along with a touch of cocoa and a mild but noticeable carbonic bite. Similar on the palate with a dry, dusty cocoa bitterness, a moderate coffee flavor and a minimal hop character. Rather thin on the palate, and a little over carbonated, this beer is decent.

Bottle shared by Kelly and Paul, thanks for the opportunity! Deep dark brown color with a small off white head. Rich coffee and light roasty chocolate maltiness. Creamy mouthfeel. Pretty respectable coffee brew.

Light tan head. Dark brown in color.

Very bitter and roasted coffee. Lots of cocoa. This isn't one of the better coffee stouts I have had because the coffee isn't integrated well. It is also too fizzy and lacks body.

12oz. bottle served in my Spiegelau nonic. Pours the color and clarity of cola with a consistent. 1/8th inch, khaki-colored head. Nose expresses roasted coffee notes and a hint of lactose as well as a slight metallic tinge. Taste expresses roast, char and a light ashy quality. Mouthfeel is light in body and slightly watery with a mild carbonation. All and all - meh. Pretty mediocre.

Pours clear, dark brown in color with minimal head. Taste is dark chocolate, coffee, and a good dose of cocoa. The beer does not have the most in your face coffee punch that I have had in a beer. It is much more balanced and the chocolate notes get equal time. This may be a deterrent for some, but I found it to be really enjoyable. If I wanted this style, I would revisit this beer.
