From the growler. Pour is a nice amber orange gold. Slight haze. 1/4 finger of white head, lingering.

Nose is rather sweet and creamy. lots of caramel notes, decent malt, Hint of orange citrus.

Taste is again pretty malt forward. Nice nutty, creaminess. Followed rapidly by a blast of bitter hops. Not super complex, but decent flavors. Maybe a little corny grain flavor too. Could use a little better balance overall. Malt is just too prominent.

Feel is medium. Nothing too biting or cloying.

A nice brew from the local brewery. Not the best IPA, in fact I would prefer to call it an american pale ale rather than an IPA at all. But still good. Hope they keep making more new things!

12oz. bottle served in a nonic. Pours a burnished bronze hue with a hazy clarity and a loose, quarter inch, cream-colored head. Nose expresses citrus, caramel malt with light earthy/herbal notes towards the back. Taste follows nose with the addition of a kiss of ethanol in the mix the lingers lightly at the back, intermixed with the earthy/herbal character present in the nose. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with a lively carbonation and a slight oiliness to the texture. Overall, not a bad beer, but a little too much malt for my preference.

From a keg, into a mini growler, into a cooler and now enjoyed and reviewed at home.

Pours hazed medium almond amber, moderate khaki cap, leaves a nice looking fine bubble film, and some bits of lace onm the glass.

Nose makes me think of caramel and piney hops.

Smooth and worthy IPA on the balanced side with more malty caramel notes, with the hops making their appearance later and into the finish. Drinkable, solid if uninspiring IPA...worth a try

Pours clear, tan, with high carbonation and one inch head. Taste is caramel, pine, green vegetable, and bread. Dangerously drinkable and not overly bitter. One of the better IPAs I have had in a bit. Gets me very interested in this brewery. I will get this one again.

Had on tap at the brewery for a sample. No hoppy beers before this one. Poured amber colored with a smaller head that faded. Nice aroma of a beer that was moderately hopped with a good blend of west coast stuff. This taste more like a balanced IPA, but leans hoppy. The malts were out there, fairly medium bodied, but there was a decent punch of hops to get through the malt. It was sweet with a touch of herbal and pine briefly in the middle. Aftertaste of bitter citrus rind. It's a fairly balanced beer for those who aren't looking for a hops-plosion, overall a good IPA when fresh. If you're looking for hoppy, the Ghost Island kills it for from them.

Slightly hazy, golden brew topped by a very large flat white head. Impressive retention and nice lacing.

Fruity hop aroma: mostly tropical (mango, pineapple) laced with citrus. Noticeable caramel malt profile. Off-putting buttery note creeping in as it opens up.

Nice balance of malt and hops, fairly bitter, but there is a massive buttery note shining through that really ruins this brew's potential.

Drinkable, bitter, lively; excellent mouthfeel.

I will have to try another bottle, perhaps on a fresher palate, but right now I'm thinking this is a major diacetyl bomb, and it's quite disappointing.

Really attractive looking IPA with respect to color and head. Slightly hazy, amber in color with a two finger off white head that just sits there begging you to take a swig. Laces really nicely as well.

I get ripe citrus fruits on the nose. A little bit of orange and a fair amount of mango and peach. Bitterness is appropriate for an IPA on the more moderate side of things. This beer will not bowl anyone over who was looking for a big resinous hop bomb. Maltiness comes through on the finish and after swallowing. There's a sweetness that shies of caramel it's a little more bready and less sticky than that.

Solid easy drinking IPA that won't win any awards but is pretty easy to recommend nonetheless.

Clear copper with a thick white head that quickly faded into heavy lacing. My forward, I can't detect a distinct hop flavor or aroma but there is a light bitterness that coats the tongue. More of a pale ale- would like a more pronounced hop aroma and taste.
