Hands Down the Best San Diego Style IPA you will ever drink! This one will Knock you the F=÷× Out! ABV is high at 10.3 but the Intense Huge Hop flavor mellows the high alcohol content...smooth. This Triple is so concentrated with Hops after drinking it...nothing else will compare. This is brewed w/ 5.5 lbs of hops per barrel....Wow! If your a Hop Junkie and can't get enough hop flavor.....you need to drink Pound Town to get your Fix!. Its released a few times a year ..and bottled in 22 's and only available fresh at the source! This one is poured in 8oz glasses. The beer has a low SRM like most SD IPA'S but is so cloady from the consentration of hops that you can't see through your glass. The Hop Union Crowned this Beer the winner of the Alpha King Challenge.......The Ultimate Award for a Brewer!

Very light copper pour with slightly off-white head that stays stubbornly in tact leaving a nice light lacing on the side of the glass. Very hazy.

Very strong dank pine scent, needed to step outside to check and make sure I was not picking up the scent from my Christmas Tree. Some fruitiness on the nose too... Mango-like

Taste is a wall of pine with a sweetness to it that I will say is more tropical in nature. The dankness subsides to a bready aftertaste with a little heat. The hops are there but do not completely overpower the taste, surprisingly balanced yet also very intense. The mouthful is very syrupy and thick... Keeping you thirsty still after every sip. Dangerous that way :)

I was pretty floored by this offering, before this I only cared for BB's milk stouts. This is a beer I will seek out again and pickup for friends to try. You really must find and try if you like a potent IPA.

The brewer says this is made with wet hop Mosaics. The delicious fruity flavor is intense. Huge mango and papaya flavor. Sweet and powerful with delirious aromatics. Less acidic than a lot of big IPAs.

This is the best showcase for Mosaic hops I've tasted, seems to me. It's over the top but the sensational fragrant taste is amazing. I have to admit this is one of the best IPAs in the sweet and massive style I've ever tasted. A good rival for El Segundo's Power Plant. On tap at the brewery tasting room on 30th St.

Drank from an undated bottle, picked up from the tasting room about 2 weeks ago.

Copper color. One of the most intense pine aromas I've ever experienced in an IPA. Tons of pine flavor and an intense mouthfeel - like your tongue was painted with pine sap. Some really nice tropical notes too.

It's an insane hop bomb, but done extraordinarily well. Still feels pretty balanced even given the intensity. I enjoyed it a little more at the tasting room in SD a few weeks ago, but it's still awesome out of the bottle. Great job on an triple IPA from a place better known for their stouts - absolutely loved it!

22oz Bottle.

What an incredible triple IPA. Has a copper hue. Smells of tropical fruit and dank. Huge tropical notes accompanied by citrus and the dankest pine ever. Super low attenuation, very thick and chewy in a good way. This is one of the best triple IPAs I've ever had. Not to mention the current Alpha King champion.
