Very Good
Here Comes Mango IPAHere Comes Mango IPA
Notes: This is a delicious and fruity IPA without the punch to the face. The Amarillo and Simcoe hops complement natural mango flavor for a juicy, tropical, well-balanced beer. Originally made for Sublime Alehouse's 4th Anniversary.

$ 10.67 (Including shipping)/22 oz capped bottle ($ 0.484/oz), from Tavour, Seattle, WA.
Date in yellow ink on bottom rim – partially gone. Stored at 42 degrees and served at 42 degrees in a hand -washed and dried Jester King snifter.
Appearance – 4.
Body – Light yellow, clear, some effervescence. Thick layer of sediment
Head – Large (Maximum 7.2 cm, aggressive center pour), white, dense and creamy with a top layer of rocks, slooowly diminishing to a two mm ring fed by effervescence and a round, entire, crateriform island of tiny bubbles that nearly covers the entire surface. Head retraction leaves a wide ring of finely-laced foam.
Lacing – Very nice.
First pour – Light yellow, clear. The second pour was more controlled to minimize disturbing the sediment but still produced a large, creamy head.
Aroma – 4 – Weak mango and slightly sour.
Flavor – 3.5 – Begins slightly fruity, possibly mango, with just a touch of bitterness in the aftertaste. Malt and alcohol are absent, as are diacetyl and dimethylsulfide. Post-consumption belches have more mango than the initial flavor.
Palate – 3.5 - Light to medium, watery, lively carbonation.
Impression and summation – 3.75 – This is well on its way to becoming a lawnmower beer. Throughout the aroma and initial taste bud analysis, the mango is weak and uncertain. The perhaps too lively carbonation does serve to accentuate the mango in the gaseous secondary taste phase. Overall, I’d drink this on tap or in 12 ozers but I think the bomber price point is a bit extreme.

Hazy, amber hue. Loose off-white fluffy foam. Smells of mango, pineapple, and subtle hop bitters. Taste is lightly hoppy, a gentle mango flavor comes through and stays to the finish. Overall, pretty good but would like a little more mango.

Cloudy amber brew with a long-lasting foam. Fruity aroma but not overtly mango. Maybe in the aftertaste it's more like mango. Tastes like pineapple-banana fruit juice. But then there's the hoppy kick. The hops are quite bitter, like some kind of herbal tea overdose. Starts sweet and fruity, finishes bitter and brutal. Not such a good combination. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Barons Market on West Point Loma.

Slightly cloudy yellow pour with a big white head. Really nice big and juicy mango aroma. Taste has nice bitterness upfront with strong citrus and tropical fruit flavors. The straight mango flavor is a bit more subdued in the taste than the nose.
