Very Good
Here Comes Mango IPAHere Comes Mango IPA
Notes: This is a delicious and fruity IPA without the punch to the face. The Amarillo and Simcoe hops complement natural mango flavor for a juicy, tropical, well-balanced beer. Originally made for Sublime Alehouse's 4th Anniversary.

8oz glass at Beer Revolution YEG Oliver Square, where it is slightly cheaper than the ridiculous bomber price of this stuff around these parts.

This beer appears a hazy, pale golden straw colour, with one finger of puffy, finely foamy, and mildly bubbly bone-white head, which leaves some decent pockmarked limestone cliff lace around the glass as things slowly move southwards.

It smells of juicy mango, grainy and crackery pale malt, some mixed domestic citrus fruitiness, a damp minerality, and some leafy, weedy, and piney green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy pale malt, some indistinct tropical fruity notes, a bit of meaty yeastiness, and more earthy, musty, and grassy hoppiness.

The carbonation is fairly low-key in its innocuous frothiness, the body a solid medium weight, and generally smooth, with nothing really causing any sort of trouble at this particular juncture. It finishes off-dry, the blended frootiness providing the lingering entertainment.

Overall - this is a genial enough offering, but not as heady as would warrant the elevated price taggery (thanks, Mister Burns!). Glad I got to try it in a smaller serving size, as it's a one and done for this camper.

Hazy, amber hue. Loose off-white fluffy foam. Smells of mango, pineapple, and subtle hop bitters. Taste is lightly hoppy, a gentle mango flavor comes through and stays to the finish. Overall, pretty good but would like a little more mango.

Cloudy amber brew with a long-lasting foam. Fruity aroma but not overtly mango. Maybe in the aftertaste it's more like mango. Tastes like pineapple-banana fruit juice. But then there's the hoppy kick. The hops are quite bitter, like some kind of herbal tea overdose. Starts sweet and fruity, finishes bitter and brutal. Not such a good combination. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Barons Market on West Point Loma.

Slightly cloudy yellow pour with a big white head. Really nice big and juicy mango aroma. Taste has nice bitterness upfront with strong citrus and tropical fruit flavors. The straight mango flavor is a bit more subdued in the taste than the nose.
