Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. A foamy lattice of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, tropical fruit, citrus fruit, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with grape Tootsie Pop, floral, and citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with fresh, fruity hop presence that makes this one tasty and easy to drink.

22oz bottle - part of a swath of new offerings from this Socal operation now available in Wild Rose Country.

This beer pours a hazy, pale golden yellow colour, with a voluminous amount of puffy, rocky, and chunky off-white head, which leaves some high flying cirrus cloud form lace around the glass as it very lazily recedes.

It smells of gritty and grainy pale malt, a lesser caramel generic sweetness, muddled domestic citrus rind, and some understated leafy, weedy, and piney green hop bitters. The taste is bready and doughy pale malt, a still hard to discern caramel thing, mixed and matched citrus and exotic fruity essences, and more understated leafy, weedy, and herbal verdant hoppiness.

The carbonation is fairly stringent in its palate-pinging frothiness, the body a solid middleweight, and more or less smooth, as the hops here, once again, have the temerity to actually be sociable. It finishes trending dry, the west coast hops reclaiming their barely lost position.

Overall, this is a standard (and I mean that in a very complimentary manner) version of the style, with lots of varied hoppy essences assaulting my well accustomed tastebuds. I know that this is all about a highway that I have never driven, but I am currently reminiscing about one of those mentioned in the Canadian 1990s musical canon. Hey Tom Cochrane!

Pours a golden color with a nice foamy cap in the Peroni lager glass. One of the least orange-tinted IPAs I've seen from California. Brewer notes that hops are primarily Galaxy, Falconer’s Flight, and Southern Cross. Plenty bitter with some twiggy and resiny taste.

A variety of fruity enliven the massive hop onslaught. Some pineapple and mango, but overwhelmed by the grapefruit. Very pithy. The malt is so pale and ghostly, but there is some toasty flavor followed by the alcohol sensation.

Yet another sharp and acidic West Coast IPA. Perfectly drinkable but a very thin body and a real throat scratcher. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at the North Park Tasting Room.

Poured into a Black Raven pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a half finger white head with decent retention and lacing. Aroma of bready malt, pineapple, grapefruit and citrus hops. Flavor follows with citrus, slightly piney hops, citrus rind, light tropical fruit, mild malt. Long, lingering citrus hop bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied. A nice citrusy IPA that emphasizes hops over malt, but still well balanced. A solid, enjoyable hoppy IPA from a brewery with a name that didn't inspire confidence, but still delivered.

Canned 10 March 2016.

A clear light orange with a dense, white head with good retention and nice lacing, this looks solid. The nose is a muddled mess, a blend of grapefruit, pine and a noticeable chalky sweetness, not unlike a Calcium supplement. Moderately sweet with some caramel present. The palate is rather awful. thin, sweet, medicinal, mildly bitter, stale hops... blech! And i thought i'd had a rough night @ Great Notion. This beer is _terrible_. Way too watery, not bitter enough, the aspirin note is cringe-worthy and the hop character is disappointing. Drainpour.
