The deep golden/light amber color of this IPA comes from the use of a blend of English Maris Otter and American pale base malts. Sparing use of English crystal malt lends some caramel sweetness to help balance the hefty bitterness. Heady aromas of blueberry, pine, citrus and tropical fruit are the result of blending Mosaic hops with several other delicious American hop varieties. For being a large, hoppy beer it is quite drinkable, in part due to the balancing act of alcohol, malt complexity, and enormous American hop character.

This is a quality beverage...
3 hour layover in Dallas so wanted to try some locals....this was a good choice....
Nice assertive happiness with a solid malt base....very well balanced. . 8.6% and it sure doesn't drink it....wow....very well hidden.. looks and smells terrific. Tastes great and one that I would pick up early and often if I lived here.
Nice beer!!

Nice amberish-caramel color, decent head on the pour, and fairly quick dissipation. Very mild on the nose, hard for me discern a noticeable profile. Flavor was great for me, loved the bitterness that so many IPA’s have shy’d away from. Very clean, light and refreshing feel for high alcohol content. Definitely would buy again.

Very impressed. This beer took me completely by surprise. Extremely smooth for a double ipa. Dark color looks like a red lager. Excellent beer all around and I’m hard to impress. I’m impressed.

There is absolutely no way this is an 8.6% beer! So I asked the beertender to check the keg, and he said the label reads 7.7%. The “Oaked” version is 7.5%, so that makes way more sense.
Anyhow, this is a delicious malty IPA, with a great hoppy balance. High marks, no matter what.

Not bad. At least I’m not sad. Reminiscent of Sixpoint Resin before they sold out and became The Goo Goo Dolls of brewing. Oh, shit…. I gotta bail! Raul is needed!

3/26/23. On tap at Lake House Bar and Grill at White Rock Lake, Dallas, TX. With Sam and Wanda's friends after church.
Dark amber in color. Hoppy pine citrus aroma carries through to taste. A deep bitterness has some complexity.
Enjoyed this. High average IPA.

Can pour- clear coppery amber color with short foamy off white head. Nose is sweet malt with hints of citrus and pine.Taste follows leaning toward the malt side with a lingering bitterness on the finish.
