Always considered Community one of the better North Texas breweries and finally took advantage of the awesome Community-Peticolas Co-Tour to check them out in person.

Building lacks character from the outside and the entry is a bit odd but the inside checks most of the usual boxes. Big, open, with lots of picnic tables. Lighting was almost too dim but I think it was probably because they had the hockey game projected onto the wall, which was a neat touch.

Don't know if it was due to the special event going on but they had more specialty and pilot beers on tap than I would have expected, including a DDH Mosaic and several different Legion variants. Bar staff were all very friendly and fast.

Don't make it over to Dallas much but glad I did on this occasion. (P.S. - the co-tour with Peticolas is a totally awesome experience and well worth the ticket price if you get the chance).

From the outside it looks like a warehouse i downtown Dallas. The inside is huge with plenty of picnic table. Not a whole lot of character. but lots of room to chill out. the beer makes up for their appearance. all the one i tasted were excellent.

Cool brewery that sits downtown Dallas. On a weekend trip decided to drop by. We missed the swap and tour, I believe it was clothes, due to traffic. Thankfully staff took our $10 tickets and instead just gave us a buncha tokens. I decided to try a couple IPAs as well as a sour. 3rd Coast IPA - their current "newer" IPA, was amazing. Mosaic fresh from the tap is a big improvement over the canned version. Sour was pretty good, a little grainy but a nice break from the IPAs. Place was mega crowded when we got there, without enough seats. Sadly you are confined to just one room, no alcohol allowed out back with the truck. However, there are projection screens, games to play, and although it wasn't my style - nice to have some music being played live. (Dude on acoustic playing Matchbox 20 covers, etc haha). Staff is super kind.

Funny story - as I began to leave a little girl ran up into me so hard, I actually spilled a little bit of beer all over her! I looked up in horror to her parents' eyes, who gave me this hilarious understanding look and tried to force more tokens on me - I had to refuse but a funny moment for everybody as the family was celebrating a party there, haha.

Would like to give more of the menu a try. Love the little tulip glass we bought from there. Cheers.

Very Fun, laid back vibe near heart of Dallas, in an upcoming hip rebuild area.
Walkable from American Airlines Center.

If your looking for something to kill 3 hours near the area, definitely try this.
Always fresh brew and nice service with a free brewery tour and extra entertainment at times.

Selection is good, could be better if they had more beers in their catalog.....but usually can get a couple rarities on tap

Overall. Go enjoy it on a Saturday

This spot doesn't scream brewery on the outside, but it pretty much nails the feel on the inside. Big, open space with a nice bar and plenty of things going on. The beer is solid with a few funky things you don't always see. They do a lot with the community, as you'd expect, and it's very close to the Mavericks or the Stars. If that's your thing.

this place was awesome, one of my favorite brewery visits from the dallas trip for sure. the space is enormous, looks like an airplane hangar or something, vaulted ceilings even in the tap room side, and a forest of tanks visible through the window behind the bar. they have made really cool use of the space here, with a long bar running a good portion of the length of it, a small stage with some groovy live tunes in the back, and just a few picnic tables and chairs along the edges, looking like doll furniture, totally dwarfed by the enormity of the building. they had playoff hockey projected on one wall, barrels stacked high, and a solid selection of beers on tap. the ascension coffee porter was my favorite, but they had a funnel cake beer that we all liked, as well as a barrel aged imperial stout called legion that was quite impressive. i didnt dig getting served the beer in plastic cups though, that felt cheap to me, poor presentation of great beer, but i guess with the concrete floors in this warehouse space, it makes some sense. the server was real friendly and attentive, and was happy to chat about the place and the beers, seemed to know her stuff quite well. everything was so mellow and chill in here, with the music and all the room. they had a loading dock door open and a warm breeze was wafting through, looked like folks were hard at work in the brew house, and everything just sort of felt right in here. definitely a must stop if you are out hitting breweries in the dallas area, i am so glad i came here and will definitely be back for more!

Extremely spacious taproom with various activities to do while you drink! Bar seating is limited, but there are plenty of picnic table seats and standing room to go around. Fun to be there for sporting events because they will project the game up onto the wall.

V-Community is located near central Dallas in a large (by my Colorado standards, anyway) warehouse. The 12-seat bar looks strange in the center of the cavernous seating area, but at least you have room to spread out. I visited on a Wednesday evening and the place felt empty, but there were maybe 5 or 6 small parties in there at the bar and the long community tables. It is kind of dark and sparse, but the friendly service really helps.

Q-I was in the mood for hops, so I tried some Community IPAs and both were solid. The Mosaic was especially tasty, while the session IPA was good for the style, but nothing to write home about.

Ser-The bartender was great. He was prompt, he knew a ton about the beers he was slinging, and he was friendly. The head brewer was also walking around chatting and sipping on a beer of his own. Good pours, proper glassware, right temperature. Really close to perfect on the service front.

Sel-I did not notice any guest taps, but there were maybe 8 community beers on tap. Community had the spread of typical styles, including a fruited wheat, an IPA, a session IPA, an amber (or ESB I think), a big stout and a Belgian or two.

O-The space is kind of strange, but the great service and inviting people make for a good vibe. The beer is tasty too. Highly recommend.

This review encompasses many many visits.

The average tap room saturday tour (if you buy online) is 8 bucks and you get 3 beers. (you used to get 3 or 4 beers plus a glass for 10, but times change). They typically have at least 6 regular beers and 1 or 2 cool rotators on draft. Overall staff is super nice

The 4.5 for quality is directed specifically at the anniversary. We went VIP last year, which was one of the best beer moments i have had. Unbelievable enthusiasm and so so many cool drafts on tap. Amazing party
