The appearance is a light orange color and hazy and cloudy with some lacing in the glass. The smell is fruity and the taste follows the smell. What's got me was the mouthfeel. Very smooth and creamy. A nice low ABV beer coming in at 5%. This would be a nice summer beer.

A pleasant surprise that I will have again.
Looks are as hazy as advertised. Smells are a medley of tree fruit, mostly tropical, mostly citrus and, rounding it out, a very modest mix of botanicals. Tastes follow the nose, but deliciously refreshing in my mouth. The oats and wheat offering a smooth, soft sensation. A real salivator.

My first from Triptych, I went on their website: a young brewer; but very accomplished for the talent shown in Dank Meme. Triptych is in the suburb of a college town. I think that U of I's main campus is lucky to have this thoughtful and talented brewer. I wish them well. Once I finish this 4 pack of Dank, I look forward to Triptych's other offerings.

Look- Very hazy, leaves a thick lace on the glass.
Smell- Smells dank, very juicy fruity aroma
Taste- Fruity taste that is well balanced with the hops.
Feel- Heavy mouth feel.

A delicious pale ale. One of the best hazy pale ales I have ever enjoyed. Never regretted any brew I have purchased from Triptych, but this is by far my favorite. It's great in cans, and even better on draft.

Brewed as a love letter to the trendsetters out on the east coast, Dank Meme is golden colored pale ale, 45 IBUs and 5% alcohol by volume. This beer is me not caring about clarity or aesthetics, in fact not a single fining was given to this beer. We hopped this beer like a boss, Azacca, El Dorado and plenty of Citra in the finish are sure to make you say, 'O rly? Me Gusta!'

L: Very small head but it lingers a long time. Beer itself has very dense appearance
T: large variety. Much more than I’m used to tasting in APA
ABV of 4.5 lis signicantly lower than my preference.

Sampling a cold 16 oz can poured into a snifter. The beer pours a hazy orange color with a bleached white and fluffy head of 2 cm foaming up. The beer gives off a fruity tropical aroma with citrus and peach notes mixing together. I also get a little bit of pine sap buried underneath the fruit.
No hint of any booze and the malts are hidden too. Definitely a hop forward beer.
The first sip reveals a light smooth textured body with very fine and tingly carbonation. Very easy drinking on physical traits for this beer.
Flavor is what I would expect after the nose with citrusy fruit of orange and also some mango notes. I do get a little rindy grapefruit or bitey pine after each swallow. But this is generally a sweeter hop forward beer with the malt and alcohol levels taking a back seat. A nice easy drinking and flavorful pale ale. Glad to have tried it out, thanks @flat_lander!

Really solid beer for under $10 bucks a four pack. I could drink this a lot.

Nice hoppy smell, bright citrus hop taste with oranges and nectarines, hazy.

This beer is definitely as good as a fresh alpha king. This dank meme was batch #DANKS4DAMEMES canned 12/21/17. I like n00b by odd 13 brewing a little more for the price, however this is really good beer. I wish I could get it in Indiana.

16oz can, dated 7.13.17, poured into a Triptych shaker pint glass. Enjoyed on 7.16.17, reviewed from Tasting Journal.

The beer pours a very hazy and turbid pale orange color with honey and golden hues that looks like a glass of orange juice with a foamy white head that rises about two fingers with great retention and beautiful swatches of lace. The aroma is fantastic, bursting with citrusy and tropical hops, tons of sweet fruit juice with a dank underbelly, tons of pine, grassiness, wildflower with soft pale grain, light breadiness but boy is this beer bursting with juicy and dank hops. The flavors are just as expressive and enjoyable, tons of juicy hops, dank floral and grassy character, light pine with a light backbone of pale doughy grain. The mouthfeel is great, coating and creamy medium body, on the lighter side, nice zip of carbonation at the finish that is lightly dry.

Verdict: An incredible beer, how is so much flavor packed into a 4.5% ABV package? Perhaps the ultimate "session" beer and one of the better pale ales I've ever had. Expressive, complex, bright, delicate and crazy juicy, just a total home run of a beer.

From a 16oz can, 7/13/2017 can date:

Appearance: Cloudy yellow, good head.

Smell: Tropical fruit, melons, sweet.

Taste: Nice tropical fruit sweetness, creamy mouthfeel. Light body, Really good!

Overall: Picked up a single in Illinois. Very good tasting ale, with nice fruitiness throughout, low bitterness, and creamy feel. This and Hopstar from Fulton are the best cloudy ales with under 5% abv I've had this year.

Pours cloudy opaque gold with a creamy white foam head. Smells like pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, apples, pear, guava, orange citrus, grapefruit, some oats, wheat, bready malt, with dank woodsy floral earthy herbal grassy resinous pine. Tastes like juicy pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, apples, pear, guava, orange citrus, grapefruit, oats, wheat, caramelized bready malt, with dank woodsy spicy floral resinous earthy herbal grassy pine. Feels super smooth and juicy, medium bodied, creamy with moderate low carbonation. Overall a real nice pale ale.

Pours an opaque orange/yellow color with decent head. Lots of lacing. Smells very fruity; grapefruit and citrus notes. Mild wheat and other grain. Tastes phenomenal; citrus and floral hops that are not overpowered by other flavors but don't stand out and point to a specific flavor. Medium-bodied. You kind of take away what you want from the beer individually. Not to say that it is flat; more or less that it is an all-purpose, excellent example of an APA. Overall, something that I would recommend.

Canned 6/22/17; drank 7/9/17 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque dull orange/yellow appearance.

A violent pour yielded a HUGE, noisy bright white head; strong, frothy lace.

Medium mouthfeel.

Dry wheat & grapefruit flavors up front; dry grass notes on the finish.

Very dry, for sure, and mildly fruity; this will do in a pinch I suppose but isn't one I'd look for again. `

This is a hoppy sleeper beer from IL. Better than most of the hyped hoppy beers! They are doing things right down in Savoy, IL as far a hoppy NE style beer is concerned.

So I enjoyed this one! Pours a hazy turbid straw yellow to light orange. The nose has a bit of funkyness to it? Interesting! Also packed with a citrus punch. The perceived funkyness on the nose is very minor in taste tho. Tastes of bright juicy citrus, orange peel and pith. A minimal light doughy malt base and presence of oats/oatmeal. A bit of dankyness??? Lol alright I couldn't review Dank Meme without saying it was dank! Medium to light on the mouthfeel. Could use a little more body, interesting in that I could taste oats but the body seems to lack a bit? Meh oh well I gave feel a 4. What's not to like about this beer? It's good! You should try it!

Drank 9 days later, wow this is great stuff. Seems to be getting better and better. Buy as fresh as possible.

Canned 02/16/17

Opaque saturated orange, meringue foam that rises 1/2" above the rim and stays like that for several minutes, miraculously. Looks like a picture perfect NE-style APA. Hop and yeast chunks fall to the bottom of the glass.

Papaya, tangerine, botanicals in the aroma.
Flavors of citrus juice, pale malt, minor papaya an tangerine again.
Smooth and creamy feel, light bodied with a dry finish and pleasant lingering citrus zest.

Picked up from the warm shelf, though it obviously belongs in the cooler due to low shelf stability.
I'd grab this again from the cooler anytime.

Edit: Tried one canned in May 2017. Updated label and fresher, it was very good. A repeat buy.

Pours a beautiful semi opaque dark straw to gold with a bubbly white head that recedes into a nice little ring around the perimeter. To me, this smells somewhere between an estery Saison and a tropical fruity pale ale. Rolled oats, and a bit of peppery funk blend with a slightly citric presence to make up the flavor. The feel is where this one shines with the exception of a minimal lack of bitterness. But the smooth and velvety texture is outstanding! Overall, this seems like a very good homebrew that doesn't really fit your typical pale ale to style. Cheers!

Looks a pale, yellowish-orange and leaves a light head after pouring. Smell is seriously fruity, plenty of citrus on the nose. Taste is also juicy but carries just enough of the hop bitterness to offer excellent balance. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, which I am finding fairly often among a lot of the Midwest NEIPA beers that I've had. Overall this is an excellent beer, and though it's not up to the level of the NEIPA heavyweights it stacks up well against what I've had in the Chicago scene for this style. Well worth picking up now that they are canning and distributing it.

This drinks like an IPA & tastes like one too. It's easily the best pale ale I've had yet (looking at you ZD).

Seriously delicious beer.

8/18/17 DDH version. This beer has changed a ton since they first released it. Hazy, looks like juice in a glass. Smells tropical and the taste follows the nose. What surprised me was the mouth feel, for a pale ale this is really creamy. Triptych has this one dialed in.
