Notes: For our 600th batch, we decided to go big. We built a hazy, triple IPA that we then dry-hopped with Citra. Then we dry-hopped it with more Citra. And finally, for good measure, we dry-hopped it a third time with..more Citra. Layers and layers and layers of silky oats and our favorite British malt combine to form this smooth beer that overflows with sherbet, mango, peach and citrus. Please note that some sedimentation over time will be normal with this beer - our quietly out of the can to leave most of it behind or swirl it up and brace yourself for the true power of your friend, Citra.

My good friend and old neighbor from Oswego gave me a can of this beer. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had tropical fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with tropical fruit peel presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on May 1, 2019. Triple dry-hopped with Citra. Layers of silky oats and British malt combine to form this smooth beer that overflows with sherbet, mango, peach and citrus.

Appearance - Pours turbid orange with a big fluffy white head. Head recedes to a thin cap, little spotty lacing.

Aroma - Nose is straight up citra, candied orange, mango and pineapple. Little bit of citrus peel.

Taste - Taste is just as it smells loads of citra hops, pretty sweet from start to finish. Orange, and pineapple mostly but just a hint of bitterness comes through on the finish. Impressed there is no sign of the alcohol.

Feel - Pretty creamy feel the alcohol cuts it a bit but still high side of medium. Soft carbonation nice dry finish.

Overall - Really well done TIPA, I am not usually a fan of them due to the alcohol showing through but not in this one.

Canned 4/23/19; drank 5/3/19 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque dark orange appearance.

A violent pour yielded a huge off-white head; strong, frothy lace.

Mango, wheat & faint caramel notes in the nose.

Medium thick mouthfeel.

Mango & mild caramel flavors; dry wheat notes on the finish.

A bit too sweet, in a caramel-not-citrus kinda way for the NE IPA style. Not terrible, but hardly worth tracking down.

poured from a 16oz can into a willi becher pint glass. pours a murky, milky gold with a finger of white head. smell is an absolute onslaught of overripe tropical fruits. taste is tropical fruits with dank, pungent hops. hardly any bitterness to speak of but a little bit of boozy alcohol sting on the backend as it warms. feel is solid. lower carbonation, somewhat oily and slick. overall, a very well done Triple IPA that’s dangerously easy drinking. this may be the best IPA i’ve had from Triptych so far.

This is a banger! Best triple ipa I have ever had! Hazy, juicy, low bitterness, huge malt profile that is well balanced with lightly dank citra flavors & aromas. Super drinkable even though the beer is at almost 9% abv. Very creamy body & carbonation. Incredable hazy hops here. It will rival any hazy hop brewery from east coast!
