Pours hazy brass with a bubbly off white head. The aroma is lemony and floral with a distinct quinine like fruity bitterness. The taste citrusy with bready maltiness, Ricola cough drops and gin and tonic elements. the mouthfeel is light bodied with sparse, prickly carbonation. Light bitterness in the medium lasting finish.

An APA with a lot of unique flavors and a bit of distracting cough drop, menthol flavor and an interesting bitterness. Worth a try but not really my cup of tea.

Overflowing head, could be over-carbonated or maybe it was shook up on my home, but that was two weeks ago....anyway, huge white clouds form the head, with a semi-opaque, juicy, dull gold body.
Beautiful floral citrus wafting from the glass, clearly yuzu (I was in Japan a few months ago and it was all over the place), with a light malt backbone.
The yuzu notes are following through on the palate, tart and floral and fresh and just a little sweet - it's really showing off the fruit beautifully. Finish is long and with citrus hop bitterness without being pithy. Despite the excessive head, the carbonation is medium, along with the body, which is crisp and easy-drinking.

This is a fantastically refreshing brew, both in taste and novelty. Great balance, clear flavours, interesting - a new favourite!

From a 473ml can served straight from the fridge at 9 degrees Celsius into a stemmed IPA glass. Canned on date: 24.5.2017.

Look: The beer pours a slightly veiled pale gold with 3.5cm of white, puffy head that fades into a partial film in just less than 3 minutes. Decent lacing and overall retention.

Smell: Moderate strength and well-balanced. Wow, the yuzu really dominates, I was not expecting that. Hoppy fruitiness and quite one-dimensional but I love yuzu so I don't have a problem with it. It's difficult to note anything else beyond the special ingredient. But, did I mention I love yuzu?

Taste: Moderate strength and well-balanced. Again, prominent yuzu at the front with citrusy, resinous New World hops and faint, supportive pale malts coming in mid-palate. Just a tad soapy. The flavour has more layers than the aroma. The finish is medium length, moderate strength, and bitter.

Feel: Medium body and moderate carbonation. Somewhat creamy and smooth with no apparent alcohol. Very suitable for the style but it could be lighter and I wouldn't mind it.

Overall: Solid, clean, very refreshing, and thirst-quenching pale ale for yuzu/beer lovers. My first brew from Radical Road and I quite enjoyed it.

Golden and hazy with a few small, slow rising bubbles. Topped with 4 fingers of pillowy, off white, well sustained head.

Smells very citrusy, particularly of grapefruit, lemons, and mandarins.

The taste follows the nose and isn't overly sweet, with a light, pith bitterness on the end.

Light, refreshing body, with little carbonation.

Got this at LCBO, drinking in Muskoka February 1st, 2018. Refreshing, light, drinks like a session ale.

Tallboy can from the LCBO; dated July 5 2017 and served slightly chilled.

Pours effervescent golden-yellow, generating nearly an inch of loose, soapy, bubbly white head that soon settles down to a frothier, creamier cap roughly 1/4 as thick. Beautiful lacing; it's hard to put off sipping a glass of beer this attractive, and the enticing, citrusy aroma isn't helping much in that regard. The yuzu presence is blatantly obvious, imparting a sort of lemony-lime zest character that largely overshadows the underlying grainy pale malt sweetness. The hops are vaguely leafy and slightly floral, but I can't discern anything more than that from the nose alone.

Good stuff, although perhaps not as intensely-flavoured as the aroma might first suggest. The grainy, lightly doughy pale malt backbone is most noticeable on the front end, although it is soon overwhelmed by the yuzu - with its zesty, acidic flavours akin to those of lemon, grapefruit and (most especially) lime dominating most of the sip. Mild pithy bitterness does come through on the back end, but for the most part this is not a very bitter pale ale at all - it just finishes with citrus pith and faintly floral hops, followed by a dry-leaning aftertaste. Light-medium body, with moderately strong carbonation that prickles the palate, frothing up a bit in the mouth and softening the texture slightly. Refreshing, tasty, and (at 5%) a serious session beer candidate.

Final Grade: 4.07, an A-. I knew Yuzu Pale Ale's citrusy flavours would be right up my alley before I even bought my first can, so there's at least a little bias at play here. I still feel there's some weak points - the underlying pale ale doesn't really assert itself, with the hop aspects in particular being a bit masked by the yuzu. That being said, I definitely enjoyed this beer: this is either the fourth or fifth can I've purchased to date, and its rare for me to re-sample a beer that often before getting around to a review. Radical Road flies under the radar of many Ontario BAs, but if they can keep fresh YPA stock rotating through the system for a few months then I really think it will draw some favourable attention.

Looks nice but doesn't work for me. Mild sour berry taste & a bit of citrus but tastes like a light macro down deep. Mouthfeel is soda-like. Will not likely have this again.

Can - poured a ale cold hazed ale with a puffy 3 finger massive cap that lasts ... Interesting aroma; citrus-fruity with a musty herbaceous tone over some sweetness and cereal notes. Flavor is very smooth and mellow with melon-like fruitiness and ample bittering riding over top of the pale malt spine - long wet smooth finish with increasing bittering - a very nice drinkable pale with unique character
