Poured on-tap at the Ale House into a pint glass. The beer is a blend of their Pale and Red Ales. The beer has a muted but solid red coloring, with a light head. The smells of the beer are muted from the blend, but the taste is well balanced. The beer is nice and smooth, with a decent undertone of hops. There are also hops present in the aftertaste, with a crisp finish. This is a very easy beer to drink.

Got this one from my buddy Dave from LV doing some canyons this weekend.

Pours a nice deep amber/copper color, nice little off-white foamy head, with some minimal sticky lacing left behind. The nose is malty, with lots of caramel. The taste follows the nose, malty/caramel. Medium body. Drinkable, this is a pretty tasty amber ale.

Light reddish amber color with a smell of nicely balancing sweet malt and simple nondescript hops. Decent balanced flavor as well, but characteristically thin for the place. Lasting mild bitterness. I don't know how mixing an Irish Ale and an American Pale Ale makes this an American Strong Ale, but oh well... Decent but unremarkable beer.

A- attractive mahogany with pretty red hues, 1 finger of frothy white head that has good retention, appealing lacing

S- toffee, toasted malts, caramel, cream

T- citrus, caramel, toffee, toasted malts, and molasses make for a satisfying brew, finishes on a pleasant roasted caramel note

M- smooth medium body with a degree of creaminess to it

D- this is a blend of big dogs holy cow original and red hydrant that they serve year round, both are solid and satisfying to begin with, so it should come as no surprise that this is impressive in its own right, definitely worth a drink

Sample at the Rancho Dr brewpub. This is a blend of 2 Big Dog beers I didn't really care for, so here goes. The beer is a clear amber color with a medium thin and creamy light beige head that diminishes slowly. Spotty lacing. Malt and floral hops aroma. Medium-bodied with flavors of hops, citrus and malt. The finish is evenly hoppy/malty with neither flavor lingering long. As with each of the beers used in the blend, this one is just average overall.
