Notes taken while on vacation in LV May '11....

A- This is a filtered wheat beer that is copper in color and came with a nice clean looking, off white colored head with good retention, which settled down to a fine layer. There was soapy lacing but it didn't really stick to the glass at all. The carbonation didn't appear to be overwhelming either.

S- Mild smokey malt was at the forefront of the aroma. There was a little bit of citrus for a bit of tartness, and was followed up by a distinct toasted yeasty biscuit smell. The finish was just a hint of hop bitterness.

T- This was absolutely delicious! Smokey grains and pork sausage were the initial flavors here, in a good; not overpowering way. Toasted malts and a balanced citrusy bitter finish complete the flavor profile.

M- Light in body best describes this beer...the carbonation is crisp, yet fine overall. I got a really good sense of the smokey malt sweetness in this one.

O- Simply put, give me this beer anytime of the day or night! It was well balanced, the smokiness gave this a very unique flavor that I hadn't tried before, and it was light and refreshing. It also went well with the same pizza I enjoyed with their Stout. Would love to drink this again sometime!
