Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a Shaker pint glass.

APPEARANCE: copper color and hazy with medium carbonation, less than one finger head that dissipated quickly leaving a broken layer of foam that lasted throughout, a good amount of lacing on the glass, very nice looking beer.

SMELL: sweet, citrus and flowery, subtle.

TASTE: the taste follows the nose, sweet, citrus and then a mild but pleasant hop profile, understated. This beer is a milder version of the IPA style. The 6.8% alcohol is well disguised.

PALATE: medium body and carbonation for the style.

OVERALL: this is the first beer I've had from this brewer, very drinkable but definitely less bitter than most other IPA's I've had. If you like a more subtle and milder IPA this is a good choice.

12 ounce bottle with 2/11/14 date on the bottle. Poured into a snifter.

A good-looking, copper and orange colored body and some mild carbonation rest in my glass. A finger-thick head forms and has a marshmallow-like foaminess to it. It retains well but doesn't leave too much lace as it eventually dissipates.

Citrus is present on the nose, but it's pungent and somewhat muted, not nearly as explosive as other great citrus-heavy IPAs. The same can be said for the sweetness and malt profile. Everything seems a bit stale almost, which may be due to the months of age on the beer. I start to get some grapefruit peel too, but there's still and odd smell that seems to stifle the aroma overall.

Some interesting flavors emerge from this, particularly at the finish where I get some bubblegum. Citrus is there, but still is not as explosive and tasty as I'd like, but it's all pleasant enough. The malt is pretty quiet and offers some toasty flavors and sweetness.

It's an easy-drinking beer leaning more to the sweet side of things. The bitterness is hardly present aside from the citrus peel dry bitterness that pops in and out. Bodywise, it's about medium thickness with a slight creaminess from the malt.

This beer is very accessible, but it won't impress the hop fiend. It's a respectable beer and could easily be a go-to for Nebraska folks really, so I think it's good, not great.

Fantastic take on a IPA! Does a nice job of mixing up the different varieties of hops and it is extremely drinkable. Limits the amount of bitter you sometimes get from other IPA's.
They have a great Porter, Belgium, and a Copper Alt.
If you are into craft beer this is definitely a great place to get your fix.
