Amber in color with a heavy amount of fine sediment. Clearly this was meant for me to keep the last of it in the bottle. There's a half inch of tightly packed beige head. Light lacing. I smell nutty malt and lightly piney to citrus hops. The taste is nutty to bready malt with just a faint hint of pine in the back of the palate. The mouth is a bit dense due to the sediment and it is otherwise dry.

A - Very beautiful amber ipa. Ruby red tones with decent clarity. Lacing is impressive. About 3 fingers worth of head with a vigorous pour, 1-2 fingers with a non-vigorous pour.

S - Quite pleasing, but subtle. Cherries and orange are most apparent in the aroma. A lot of breadiness comes through as well. Overall a sniff worthy aroma.

T - The taste extends very well from the aroma in this brew. Orange peel, cherry and peach are apparent in my taste buds. Bitterness is there, but not overbearing at all! It's refreshing and very drinkable.

M - Not too badly balanced for the style. I feel a nice balance between the malt and hops. My palate is not burned out at all after 6 of these. the 7.1% ABV is hardly noticeable at all.

O - This is an honestly well crafted red IPA. I've had Nugget Nectar, Odell's Runoff Red IPA and a few others, but this one can almost stand up among those. It's quite an impressive local brew that I'm glad I tried. For $7 for a sixer, this was a hell of a beer to come across. Worth trying for sure!

Poured into a tulip glass from a 12 oz bottle.

Pours a beautiful red with a medium head that lingers. Great lacing.

The aroma is a balanced combination of sweet malt and hops.

The taste is caramel with medium mouthfeel. Hops are very present but not overwhelming; citrus/grapefruit. Bitter yet refreshing finish. Very balanced.

Overall this is a very fun ale. Make sure you follow the brewery’s recommendation of 46° serving temp - the malt and hops both begin to pop.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a Shaker pint glass.

APPEARANCE: amber colored and clear with a 1 finger head that dissipated quickly leaving a broken layer of foam that lasted throughout, a good amount of lacing on the glass, lightly carbonated.

SMELL: caramel, flowers, bread.

TASTE: toasty caramel with a nice piney resin hop profile that lingers in a good way. The alcohol 7.1% is well hidden, combines the best of both worlds.

PALATE: creamy, full bodied with lighter carbonation.

OVERALL: this is why I love craft beer, somebody had an idea and went with it, I truly enjoyed this beer, was different, fun and delicious. I would buy this beer again and will most definitely try more from this brewer. Well done.
