i loved my experience here, what a cool little brewery. they are right off the highway there in lincoln, with a big warehouse space that houses the brewery but a very modest and comfortable little taproom with some high top tables and a little patio outside that can seat maybe 75 people all together, and that would be full. they had a huge range of beers on, including a cask offering, and i thought all of them were quite good, some downright amazing, and they had an whole separate to go beer menu, looks like a rather prolific operation based on the amount of beers they had working. cool vibe, sort of understated, dim, mellow, not much music, very conducive to conversation, which is increasingly uncommon in these places. the hibiscus saison was amazing, even better in the cask with raspberries and choke cherries and salt, and various hoppy offerings were also enjoyed by all in our group. i was surprised to find how beery lincoln has become, and this might have been my favorite from a handful of good brewery visits. keep an eye out for these guys, good things are happening here. this will become a mandatory stop for me as i drive through there in the future...

Visited on a Thursday afternoon before dinner as I was making my way to the Lincoln, NE airport. Not crowded when arrived slightly after opening but doing some rousing business when I left two hours later. I nearly didn’t visit this place, but it was so convenient being near the Lincoln airport and I had two hours to waste before my flight. I am very glad I visited, if just for the first beer I had, the Gin Barrel Aged Hibiscus Saison. Go for the Zipline beer. I was not disappointed.

Vibe – Ugly new industrial park on the outside, clean open bright industrial bar on the inside. Seating for about 40. Friendly patrons. Good music. Bright, clean, open, new, easy to read beer board. Nothing special but well done just the same. I wish they were a bit more inventive with their tap handle art. But that’s no reason to take away from a nice friendly place. 4

Sel – Just Zipline brews, no guest brews, but a good variety during my visit, though I would also appreciate a big stout on tap (which was lacking). 3.75

Qual – Correct glassware, clean. No compliants.4

Ser – No table service during the time of my visit. Friendly and informative staff. Free stickers when I asked (but ready to pay). 4

Food – N/A

This is a welcome development on the long drive down I-80 from Chicago to Denver. Nice medium sized tap room on edge of town, not congested. Took a sample flight of their beers which many were slightly malt forward with considerable balance, spot on head retention, lacing on the glass exceptional. Had a tripel that had a strong unique hop prescence which while may not be to code, I greatly appreciated. I have been to many breweries across the country and I know a sleeping giant when I see one. Didn't try any food. Perfect score.

Stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon while in town for business. The place was fairly busy and all the bar stools were full (roughly 10-12). They are located in a commercial business park with some others businesses but it appears they are slowly taking over the entire building. The bar area had some tables and chairs and was nicely laid out to hangout. Their staff was super attentive and friendly and made for a nice time.

They had 10 or so beers on tap and I was able to try the NZ IPA, Nitro Pale Ale, Oatmeal Porter and their Kolsch. Overall I really enjoyed the Nitro Pale Ale and Oatmeal Porter. Most of their beers were decent but I soon discovered they use ring-wood yeast and it immediately disappointed me. It was ok in some of their beers but I believe they all would have been notches better with a basic ale yeast strain..

Overall a great place to visit and I will definitely check out their beers again next time I am in town. I was very surprised to find a brewery in the Mid-West using this type of yeast but everyone has their own style and I can respect that. Great people and a lot of fun. I would recommend checking these guys out when in the area.
