Bomber poured in into a nonic, appearance is gold with a white head that leaves scattered lace. I like a blonde IPA.

Smell is resinous, some sweet citrus, a little pine, some bubblegum. Definitely has some of the hop complexity expected by the label's boast of 7 hop varieties. A little skunky, and yeastiness to round it out. Not as robust as their regular IPA, which is disappointing.

Taste is similar, in that it's lacking the big hop punch of their regular IPA, rather then bringing more. There's a sharp bite to the alcohol. It's a little sweet. Moderate bitterness. Not bad, but disappointing, it's rough.

Mouthfeel is oily, hops there for sure, it's also light bodied and dry.

Drinkability is ok, in that I could slurp it down due to the lighter body. But I really don't want too. This is poorly executed, it's just too hot and lacking hop intensity.

This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a burnt/bronzed orange to brown color with a quickly dissipating white foamy head that left a speckled thin white lacing. The smell started off with a bitter to sweet grassy hoppiness. Light honey, some tobacco. Delicate pine - super far underneath. The flavor takes all of the previously mentioned aromas to combine gently to a slight sweet contour rolling into the aftertaste. Quick sweet caramel finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sipping to sessionable sort of sly feel to it. Carbonation rides fairly light all around. Overall, for a DIPA, it works, mostly nothing over the top, but I could see myself coming back to if needed.

On tap in Sisters Oregon.
The body is deep amber; good clarity with a very good white head.
Piney-hoppy aroma.
Medium body with medium carbonation.
Moderately bitter; more in the aftertaste. Too bitter overall.

Cloudy, honey-orange color with a slightly sweet aroma. Bitter-to-sweet balance is excellent. High alcohol not apparent in flavour. Piney as opposed to citrusy hops that don't linger or stack sip after sip make it a home-run for me. Thicker than thinner mouth-feel, but far from feeling heavy. Only slightly better on tap than in the 12 oz. bottle. This is a nice Imperial IPA.

Clear deep gold with two fingers of long lasting cream colored head. Plenty of lace.
Smell is crushed wild strawberries. Some bready malt as well.
Taste is hop oil resins with tangerine and mango. Plenty of sweet bready malts to smooth out the hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium to full with plenty of carbonation. It has a long lasting resinous semi dry bitter finish. Overall I really liked this beer. I think it was quite fresh as it is fairly new to the store. It was a decent buy also from a convenience store. It cost about $4.69 for the bomber. I did note the alcohol slightly in the taste. It wasn't off putting but it was my first beer today so a 8.5% abv is noticed. I have been tasting this for about 15 minutes and it still has a cap of head and leaving an almost solid sheet of lace. I would definitely buy this again and hope to find it in the canned version.

22 picked up last week at Brewer's Haven in Boise... Poured tonight into my GT 25th tulip... slightly hazed darker golden... decent enough white head with an okay cap... middle of the road lacing.

The nose is pretty well done.. good citrus and tropical fruit notes... a bit of a floral essence with warmth... smells like it is going to have a thicker malt presence.

Flavor is okay too... I like my DIPA's drier with significantly less pale maltiness... I think it mutes the bitterness AND the hop flavors and I think I am certainly right in this case... hop flavors show as a sorta tangerine zest that blooms with the malts, but is still not focused enough.

Body is a touch thick for an 8.5% DIPA.

Despite all my above "negatives", this is a good beer.

Poured from a 22oz bottle, 8.5% ABV 85 IBU bottle says they use 8 varieties of hops.
L: Pour a copper amber thin head some spotty lacing.
S: Some hops there not a big nose.
T: Hop bitterness is there but somewhat weak for a Imperial.
F:Good mouth feel hops and malt work.
O: Lacking the hop hit and citrus hit for me more like a British IPA in my opinion.
