Poured from a 12oz can into glassware

A> Poured a pale hay color, held up to the light this beer is crystal clear with just a hint of golden hue. A thick looking 1-finger head formed on the top and is sticking around. Nice lacing down the glass.

S> Very faint, a hint of caramel like sweetness with lemony citrus and touches of peppery spice flavors wafting over the malt to dominate the bouquet,

T> A surprisingly noticeable toasty flavor from the malts is the first thing that hit my tongue. The darker flavors of the malt didn't come through at all in the smell or appearance but make for quite the pleasant surprise. After the malt settles a bit, the hops come into the profile, tasting mostly spicey, but also taking on a bit of earthiness and citrus. The hops and malt intermingle on the finish and compliment one another very well.

M> Perfect thickness, nice soft carbonation, refreshing slightly bitter finish keeps this one highly drinkable.

O> Outside of a pretty mild aroma, this is a fantastic brew! Solid clean flavors that push the boundaries of the style. Highly enjoyable even on a cold February day, Easy Day Kolsch will really shine when things start to warm up!

Pours a finger of head on a hazy light straw body.
The aroma is honey and flowers, light but nice.
The taste has a solid bitterness, lemon mostly, followed by a lighter side.
The texture is crisp and fizzy.
The aroma is great.

This was poured into a stange. The appearance was a fairly clear golden orange color with a quickly dissipating head that dissipated fairly quickly. Lacing was few and far between. The smell had some grainy/bready malts with a nice sweet grassy hop to it. The taste had a nice sweet grainy/breadiness arranging around some light citrus characters. Lingering sweet bready aftertaste leads into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light and lets a nice smooth crisp sweetness on my tongue. Overall, as a kolsch, it works. I can’t find much fault with this one to style. A definite pleaser on the hot days.

Clear gold with one finger of white head that falls rather quickly. Some splotches of lace.
Smell is grainy with light floral hops.
Taste is bread crust malt with citrus lemon hop notes.
Mouthfeel is light with good carbonation. Finish is dry and mildly bitter.
Overall a well crafted light and refreshing beer.

12 oz can from a six pack bought from S.Salem Fred Meyer $8.49 Clear corn oil golden beer with a small white head..great lace. Has a pleasing honey/nut aroma, some bread notes no real hop presence. Very smooth yet low bitterness in the taste department, getting the barest touch of hop., touch o honey in the end..nice. Very nice palate for such a low alcohol beer..not particularly well carbonated but goes down a treat. Very drinkable beer..surely a high summer camping pick!

The can says "crisp and bubbly" and I agree. Nice bright flavor with a clean finish. Almost no aftertaste.

Pours a classic Kolsch semi-hazy pineapple juice color; head is as fluffy as can be, 2 fingers, leaves speckles of lace. Fingers on the opposite side appear translucent like shower glass.

Aroma of peaches, pears, pineapple, Gala apple; musky malt aromas behind that, with some hay and dew grass.

Taste has mild apples and peaches out front, followed by a sharp pine stab that coincides with the harsh carbonation. It ends with a slight yeast and malt finish.

Feel is intensely carbonated, with a semi-dry and musky finish.

Overall this isn't a bad Kolsch; however I could do without the pine stabs in the middle and the end. This is typical of NW ales though...so I'm not surprised.

Thanks again Beertunes. Much appreciated.
Good looking golden slightly cloudy brew with a creamy white head. Nice bubble action.
Conservative aroma with pale malt and only hints of any hopping.
Hops show in mid-flavor to rather prominent bittering that lingers a good long time. NIce pale malting with no distinct sweetness or other character.
Bigger body than most of this size and rather soft.
Pretty generic. Seems as much as a golden ale as a Kolsch, lacking what I like about that style is a distinct yeast character that I'm not getting here. Nonetheless this is a nice day drinker.
I've adjusted my scores some as this warmed up rather nicely. Some herbal/grassy hop flavors showed and the malts became more complex and interesting. Still not a kolsch but it was tasty.

Appearance- Pours up a good amount of head that has some retention. The head is a pure cotton white while the body is a clear, golden straw which appears as pale straw/weak lemon when held up to the light. Lacing is a few spots here and there.

Nose- Starts off with a whiff of lemon that wafts over a bed of earth, herb, and grass. Notes of biscuit and cereal as well. Mild hint of spice. All notes (except for the lemon) are very subdued. Swirling shows mostly lemon and biscuit.

Taste- Definitely much more presence than the nose. Starts off with the lemon of the aroma and then wallops you with hops that seem much stronger than their IBU number would indicate. Typical grass, herb, and earth with hints of wood and resin around the edges. Some spice and a bit of a vinous quality on the front. Some chalk and mineral on the finish as well. The dry finish makes my gums tingle and feels really cleansing. So far, I'd say that it's a pretty good representation of the style. Not one of my favorite styles but this is a fairly solid beer.

Mouthfeel- Light bodied with a good amount of carbonation. Could definitely hold up to more. Crisp and refreshing.

Drinkability- Very easy going but probably not what I would pick for the price. 9 bucks a six pack can get so many better beers in styles that I favor.

Overall- Definitely, a good and local kolsch. Must try if you like kolschs but even worth giving a try regardless. Probably won't be a repurchase due to price and style but enjoyable nonetheless.

Served from a can into a pilsner glass.

A- Poured a clear and pale golden color with sopay white head that left minimal lacing.

S- Big fresh pilsner malt notes, floral, fruity, and light white wine notes.

T- Very clean pilsner malt taste, floral hop notes, fruity notes, white wine character,

M- Lighter bodied, prickly and bright carbonation, very clean, refreshing, and semi-dry finish.

O- This is an incredibly easy to drink, pleasant, and refreshing kolsch. It has a lot of character and would be a great beer to bring to a party.

Poured from 12oz can into a pint glass.

Appearance: silvery-yellow hue with a light haze and a light effervescence. Head is a thin finger of frothy white foam. Pretty good for the style.

Smell: grainy with a mild noble hop character. Lightly sweet; it reminds me of a cream ale, which should not be surprising. I feel like it's a little unrefined, but it's not too bad.

Taste: grainy with a little sweetness and a light lagery tartness. Bitterness is moderate and hops are noble/earthy. This is pretty spot-on for the style, and the flavor is a bit cleaner than the aroma. I like it.

Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a big carbonation and a darn good creaminess for a Kölsch. I dig it.

Overall: highly drinkable and enjoyable. Maybe not everyone's bag, but I think it's a pretty successful execution of the style.
