22oz bottle, one of a new pair of this Bend brewing concern's offerings to make it northward to Alberta suds emporia.

This beer pours a hazy, pale golden yellow colour, with four fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and rather fizzy bone-white head, which leaves a few chunky swaths of chemtrail lace around the glass as it slowly and lazily subsides.

It smells of semi-sweet, grainy and crackery pale malt, testy earthy yeast, banana chips, muddled citrus pith, white pepper dust, and leafy, grassy, and herbal hop bitters. The taste is bready, slightly doughy, and biscuity pale and wheat malt, underripe banana, lemon rind, a touch of red apple skin, subtly funky yeast, mixed peppercorn spice, and more leafy, grassy, and somewhat perfumed floral hoppiness.

The carbonation is fairly active in its swirling effervescence, but amounts to only a small, tickling frothiness, the body a decent medium weight, and not particularly smooth, as both the yeast and spice trudge about a little too much. It finishes off-dry, just, as the bottom seems to drop out of the graininess, and the yeasty, fruity, and spicy essences mill about, waiting to die.

Overall, not a bad version of the style, though the 'unique' yeast strain does not provide an exactly unique end brew. Nicely warming, however, with little attendant booze astringency, and easy enough to put back a whole bomber's worth, I would imagine. So leave me to it, already!

Hazy pale gold with two fingers of quick falling white head. Lace is some splotches .
Smell is pungent yeast biscuit malts lemon grassy hops.
Taste is similar to the smell with a bit of tang on the middle of the tongue. Slightly astringent.
Mouthfeel is medium with plenty of carbonation. Finish is slightly dry and puckering.
Overall a decent attempt of this style from a Northwest brewer.
I might buy another as I suspect this is a fairly old bottle. Also this is a 7.3% abv beer and the alcohol is well hidden so treat with respect. From a 22 ounce bottle.

Chill hazed yellow colored beer with a small white colored head.

Smells strongly herbal. Scents of coriander and black pepper with honeysuckle. Mildly soap scent.

Starts out dry and mildly bitter. Floral flavor with some powdery yeast flavor. Spicy in the mouth mostly pepper.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall a tasty dry Saison that will work when you can't get Hennepin.

22 oz bottle bought from Fred Meyers N.Salem store. $4.99 pours a clear golden yellow colour with a nice thick bubbly white head. Spicy, bubblegum, ginger and slight barnyard aromas..nice enough. Good balanced taste with still the spice and barnyard present. Some green apple in the back. Palate is good but needs a bit more carbonation for style. OK beer..i liked it.

Almost no head to speak of, but a beautiful bright clear iridescent gold.

Very light consistency. Almost too thin.

Very light rice cake flavor with flour and saltines. A big yeastiness backs it up with a vegetable and strong mushroom note. A bit of clove and green banana here too. Graphite and steel finish off a long medium dry finish with a touch of white pepper.

Crisp and light. A cider-saison?
