Color is a light amber with a big pile of foam in the tall Blanche de Chambly glass. Faint sour hint in the aroma. Light body, though it seems more substantial than the low alcohol would suggest.
The flavor starts off with a resiny, bitter, light malt. Gummy with hints of spoiled fruit and a faint lemony note. Barky with a bitter bite. Not a scent of hop aroma. This is one of the least flavorful beers I've ever had.
This is a really unappealing light beer with an insistent bitter, dishwatery taste. Looks nice, though, with the thick froth lasting to the final drainpour. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Special Brews in Lynnwood.
