Hugely overcarbonated and definitely infected.

Really disappointed in this one since it was received in a trade and I have no way to replace it. Only writing this review in hopes of warning others. This is from the most recent release in November 2015.

On tap at Tomlinson Tap Room.

Arrives with a cocoa-head and pitch black body. Excellent head retention and lacing. 5

Dark chocolate and coffee and vanilla and slight tart berry. 4.5

Bursts with coffee and vanilla cream, then bitter dark chocolate and tart berry flavors. Pretty true to the nose. Brown sugar develops on the finish and lingers. 4.25

Lighter in carbonation and almost nitro like--- thick and still and viscous. Bitter and tart elements before a sticky sweet finish. Thin feel is a bit of a distraction. 4

A larger than I would like pop upon opening...
Looks fantastic, pitch black with a finger of layered tan colors. Aroma, is sweeter milk chocolate, coffee, light roast malt. A little subdued, but there is a sour cherry note.

Taste, has a lot of fruit, a tart fruit, I see some others mention this but it is more than a side feature. Some roast malt, dark chocolate and coffee peak through in the finish.
If it was a straight RIS, maybe I'd be ok with the fruit, in a milk stout, it just seems like a problematic bottle. Seems like there was probably something pretty nice behind there.

High carbonation, breaking up the fairly thick appearance. A tad thin.

This feels like a bottle that has gone south. Properly stored..I'll have to give another one a try.

This bottle was infected. It poured like molasses with excessive carbonation. Occasionally large clumps poured out. Based upon seeing other reviews, this seems to be a recurring issue. I wouldn't mind giving it another chance if I had the opportunity.
