Poured from a can into my oversized brandy snifter. A reasonable pour gets a reasonable inch of light beige head, thick and foamy. Body is deep golden in color, almost honey like. Nose is full of resiny citrus hops and soft sweet malt notes the intertwine very well. The first sip brings juicy hops almost like bitting into a piece of mandarin orange. The malts give a just right kind of feel to the backbone and slight sweetness to this brew. I just can't get over how juicy this beer is. Off the charts drinkability and mouthfeel. Truely lovely.

Poured from a can into a tulip

A. Pours a golden amber color which is slightly hazy with a cream colored 2 finger head. Beautiful spiderweb lacing.

S. Bready and biscuit malts with some mango and pineapple hop aroma

T. Backing up the nose there is some nice bready malts with some mango and almost banana like hop flavor. Slight pine. Sought bitterness. Grassy out green leaf vegetable aftertaste.

M. Medium bodied. But little carbonation. Could use some more of that. Finishes mostly clean.

O. A nice IPA. Good aroma and flavor. Looks nice. I'd like a little more carbonation. But so in all I would drink again.

Poured hard at 46°F from a 12oz can (no date) into a Mikasa Ale glass. Consumed on 25Jul16.
SMELL: Mild aromas of caramel, sweet bread, floral hops, mangos, papayas, apricots, and peaches are backed by subtle spicy rye aromas.
4 out of 5
TASTE: A balanced sweetness of strong caramel and mild floral hop flavors initially caresses the palate. Mild flavors of mango, papaya, peach, apricot, and sweet bread quickly follow as floral hop flavors grow slightly stronger. The taste theatrical concludes with a subtle spiciness from the rye and hints of alcohol as all prior flavors persist.
4.25 out of 5
NOTE: What a delightful, easy drinking APA. I loved the balanced sweetness of the brew and how it maintained from the start until the finish. The touch of rye was a wonderful addition to the brew that I usually do not experience with this style, but I thought it could have used a little more. This is a Pale Ale that I could sip on any and everyday. A huge kudos to 18th Street.

12oz canned 10/24/17 poured into a tulip pint glass at fridge temp no ABV listed on can. The beer pours hazy, light amber in color with off white head. The head recedes to a thin ring and paper thin island with some lacing. The aroma is subtle with citrus being most prominent. The taste is spicy rye mixed with citrus and maybe a bit of evergreen. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, lightly carbonated and semi dry. The can states oats and crystal rye are used in the malt bill which add body and mild sweetness. The Pacific Jade hops are new to me and present citrus and evergreen very different from American hops. Overall, very good.

Wow...My first beer from 18th St and it's a real winner. Great flavor with a slight sweetness that is really interesting. Happy that it's readily available in Indy right now.

Poured from a 12oz. can into a snifter.

A - Pours a cloudy, amber gold, slight white head.

S - Bready malts, nectarine, lemon.

T - Fresh, crisp hop flavors, primarily lemon, nectarine, and green tea. Crisp and lightly bitter, followed slightly by a bready, caramelly malt profile. Crispness from the rye and malt sugars give a slightly juicy impression. Finish is lemony and slightly bitter.

M - Medium body, very smooth for the style. Ever so slightly dry.

O - Very interesting pale ale. There's nothing else quite like it.
