Pours amber-gold with quickly dissipating off white head. Nice lace. S - smell is of mango, apple, slight pine, spruce, candied orange. Some booze is present in there as well. T - still get the candied taste with some pine hoppiness. A bit sweet but No flavor is out of whack though. A little warmth. M - body is medium to high-medium. Good amount of carb. Finish is a bit oily but not slick. O - really enjoyable. One of those big, sweet DIPAs but not overly malty-tasting.

Slightly hazy dark orange color with slightly off-white head. Aroma has some booze and overripe oranges and grapefruit. Taste has oranges, some sweet malt in the background which combines quite well with the hops but the finish is quite dusty, earthy with medium bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Overall it's a decent DIPA but it lacks some aromatic hops.

On tap at the brewery and served in the house tulip.

Look- A deep hazy gold with a small but frothy white layer of foam.

Smell- Pineapple up front with some passion fruit and floral aroma.

Taste- Passion fruit forward, followed by some bitter grapefruit and mango.

Feel- Very thin and watery, but has a bit of an oily finish. The abv. is well hidden.

Overall- A pretty good beer, but there's a residual bitterness that makes this a bit unbalanced for me. I'd take their Sinister or Deal with the Devil over this.

12 fl oz. can, no freshness date present, but this was just delivered fresh to the local beer store a few hours ago, so it's as fresh as can be! New Double IPA from 18th Street Brewery, my first canned offering from these guys. No abv listed on the can anywhere.

Poured into a Duvel tulip.

A - Pours a nice caramelized orange body, some haze to it with two fingers of frothy soapy off-white head that stays awhile, leaving good scattered soapy lacing throughout.

S - Aroma is bright, fresh, juicy, fruity, floral.

T - Taste strikes me as fumey and boozy at first, with a predominant alcohol kick to it, but the florals and hop juices kick in next providing big layers of tropical stone fruit goodness: peaches, mangoes, papaya, grapefruit, orange, guava.

Deep, burnt orange color, “old school” hop haze, and a tight opaque white head. Juicy citrus hops, with some dank notes, dominate the nose.

The taste is all hops, no discernible malt, and the hops are represented with juicy tangerine flavors, and the slightest note of passion fruit. The feel has some bite, again representing the “old school” DIPA.

The 8.70% ABV is completely masked - this is a dangerous beer. If it had a bit more gravitas (malt), I’d slay dragons to acquire it.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 12 oz can on April 29, 2017. Look is light amber gold with a two finger off-white head and spotty lacing. Smell is fruit and sweet malt.
