Pours very dark with little to no smell. Thinner than expected when you first taste it with a slight to medium smokey flavor. If you find it and have the money, you may consider getting it if you feel like trying something new.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local beer store just around the corner. It poured an opaque dark with thin tan ring head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had roast and hints of chocolate. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with dark roast malt base and subtle hints of coffee and chocolate. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Can courtesy of izzyismyrott as part of blind box.
L: Almost black, with a thick dark brown head that fizzles down pretty fast.
S: smoke, chocolate.
T: Chocolate malt but not sweet, roasty, wheat/brown bread, coffee.
F: pretty thin-bodied.
Overall: Solid porter. Looks massive but ends up being an easy - drinking dark beer.

A - Pours dark and nearly opaque, with a minimal tan head, no lacing, but lovely.
S - Superb roast, chocolate and brown bread, coffee and a bit of alcohol warmth.
T - The open is a sweet brown bread, mild chocolate and sweetness in the mild, and slightly bitter coffee note in the finish.
M - Middle of the road weight, soft carbonation, and dry finish.
O - Quite superb porter with the exact flavor profile I like to seek out.

Fairly good porter that had decent balance and aromas but didn’t quite pack enough of a punch in the flavor department. 11/5/19 date printed on can. Pours a dark brown, almost black color with some tan head and very spotty lingering lacing. Smells of mild roast coffee, milk chocolate, faintly toasted nuts, bread, caramel and malt. Taste follows the nose, a little distant and weak for my taste. Smooth mild thin mouthfeel with decent carbonation. I like my porters a little more robust and powerful. Disappointing as I want to love beers from this great Indiana brewery.

Aroma is dark/toasted malts and mild coffee. The flavor is dark/toasted malts, chocolate/mild coffee and a slightly burnt toast/acidic/dryish finish.
