16 oz can from Tavour. Dark gold / light amber with active, foamy head. Aroma is caramel malts, straight up. More of the malts in the taste, some serious sweet notes and tangy hops at the back. Creamy feel.

A: The beer is a little hazy amber yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly died down, leaving just lots of small specks of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of stone fruit and mango are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and starts off with a lot of flavors of stone fruit, finishing off with spicy hints of spices and pine from the Chinook hops. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and slightly crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The taste of this IPA has a very nice balance between the hops and malts.

16oz can, date stamped 11/6/18; thanks to my friend, Ken, for giving me a can to try. Slightly hazed copper colored ale with a frothy ivory colored head. Zesty grapefruit and orange zest, pine, and bready caramel malt for aroma. Good flavors with a more tropical mango flavor coming through with the orange & grapefruit zest; pine in the mix, as well as a decent caramel malt backbone. Medium-to-full body, a bit resinous, moderate bitterness on the finish. Pretty good American IPA overall.

16oz beer poured into a can-shaped glass. Dated 12/27/18.

Pours a mostly clear light golden with a pretty good sized head and good carbonation sustaining it. Smell is pine resin.

Taste is fruit juice and hop resin, moderate sweetness and moderate bitterness.

Mouthfeel is medium, slightly sticky. Overall, very nice beer.

Copper colored with a quarter inch of creamy beige. The aroma is of a citrus grove. I'm tasting an aggressive citrus flavor and there's just enough biscuity malt to keep things from getting out of hand. The mouth is very resinous, lightly sticky, and dry.

16oz can. Poured out a slightly hazy, golden orange color with a small, white head of bubbly foam. It smelled of juicy orange, sweet caramel and toffee. So juicy and sweet with orange, pineapple and toasted caramel.

Another ominous label, another pretty, pretty, pretty good beer. With high hops, the Mosaic and Chinook driven IPA of the 18th Street Brewery blends old world bittering hops with nouveau aromatic and flavor hops for a unique blend that ensures a pleasant and drinkable session.

Pale gold and cast in a fairly strong haze, the frothy Here Comes the Reaper entices the nose with tropical fruit, citrus and pine. Its taste hits the front of the tongue with a strong suggestion of caramel, pecan, light toast and an overall graham cracker impression.

As the flavors unfold on the middle palate, the sweetness begins to dissolve, leaving a fruit filled medley on the tastebuds. Passionfruit, pineapple, mango and papaya stem from the Mosaic hop varietal while the Chinook hops impart a sharper taste of white grapefruit and under ripened orange. They both converge in a late palate chocked full of bitter grasses, herbs, spruce and pepper flavors that's remiss of hemp and chive.

Green tea, juniper and gin decorate the finish as the bitter and spicy resins of hops grip the gullet firmly and ensure a dry, drinkable and refreshing session with bold character and charm. The unique hop blend brings a taste of newer and more aromatic hops to a bitter IPA that has the seasoned hop heads salivating.
