Poured from a 16 oz. can into a Snorkel glass.
Canned on 5/24/17.

Appearance: Dark brown to black body with a beige ring of bubbles around the edges.

Aroma: Cocoa, vanilla, roasted malts.

Taste/Mouthfeel: Sweet chocolate and vanilla with a slight bitterness that rounds out the sweetness. Nice smooth feel to this one, creamy and slick, yet a thickness to it that leaves all those flavors on the tongue, coating it with chocolate and almost coffee like flavors.

Overall: I hugely enjoyable beer that is reminiscent of 3F Moloko. This one has that great thickness to it with out being too heavy, a sweetness up front with a nice hop bitterness at the end to round it out. Really enjoyable.

An outstanding milk stout. One of my favorite non barrel aged stouts.

Pitch black in color with a fingernail of brown around the rim. The aroma is of lactose and dark malt. I'm tasting dark malt and lactose. The finish is of dark chocolate with a hint of bitterness. The mouth is silky smooth and a bit thick.

(Served in a globe glass)
A- This beer pours a thick opaque black body with a thick deep tan head and a matrix of microbubbles trailing up the side of the glass.

S- The rich coffee aroma and black malt have an earthy quality to them with a cream note and mellow char in the finish.

T- The big roasted coffee malt has some earthy black graham notes and a dark fruity ester in the finish. There is a nice soft sweetness and some tartness that lingers after that.

M- The medium mouthfeel has a gentle finish with no alcohol heat.

O- This beer is a nice rich full stout with some good hints of sweetness and no bitterness or harshness. I couldn’t find many of the flavors described on the bottle but it was very drinkable none the less.

A meal in itself. Almost perfect balance of bitter chocolate and some sweetness. Black with some head, bittersweet chocolate aroma. Smooth mouthfeel. Incredibly drinkable. Fresh bottle from 20 west. Nicely hopped, being picky I would ask for a little more hops - but that's just to make it perfect for this day and mood.

650 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Pours black, shy of inky. Small khaki head. Thick collar. Wispy swirls on the surface.

Smell - Rich dark chocolate. Some burnt roast. No lactose, which surprises me.

Taste - Lactose makes an appearance right up front. Then the chocolate sets in. Great rich chocolate. The burnt notes come back too, which is a little odd. Lactose comes back in the finish.

Mouthfeel - Thick and not overly sweet from the lactose. Good body.

Overall - Tastes great, which I don't often think of milk stouts.

Poured from 22 oz bomber into snifter. No visible date on bottle.

A: Pitch black with slight one finger mocha head that settles fairly quickly to a ring around the edge. Little to no lacing.

S: Roasted malts, caramel, lactose, and dark chocolate. Subtle hints of vanilla. Smells like a chocolate milkshake.

T: Dark chocolate, milk sugars, caramel, vanilla, and roasted malts.

M: Full bodied but not thick with a creamy texture.

O: Wonderful milk stout. My first beer from 18th street, and hopefully not my last.
