Pitch black in color with a fingernail of brown around the rim. The aroma is of lactose and dark malt. I'm tasting dark malt and lactose. The finish is of dark chocolate with a hint of bitterness. The mouth is silky smooth and a bit thick.

22 ounce bottle, no dating on it that I could find. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with a half inch tan head that stuck around a while. There's a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like milk and bittersweet chocolate, roasted malt, lactose, vanilla and a bit of coffee. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some burnt/charred malt and dark bready flavors noticeable. I think the taste is sweeter than you'd think it would be compared to the aroma. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. I think it's a good double milk stout, I was looking forward to trying this and I wasn't disappointed at all. Definitely worth picking up! $15.99 a bomber.

Enjoyed from the tall boy can in a snifter via a friend from work---Thanks Justin for this jewel from Indy!
This beefy beast pours a pure opaque with a nice head of brown foam that subsides to a thick ring,
thin light wispy layer, and features some nice light lacing. Nose of heavy cocoa, woody char, sweet dark
malts, dark fruit notes, subtle coffee, and subtle lactose notes. Flavors hit the right tone for the
perfect stout. Char touched dark malts wash over rich cocoa notes and mild coffee flavors that are
lightly touched with dark raisin bread flavors that are tossed into a creamery factory that gives
what many of the milk sugars stouts do not offer---sweetness without the bitter milk sugar note that
finishes with a nicely balanced subtle herbal hop flavor. Excellent mouth feel; dull body, sweet,
low carbonation, and a lightly warming sweet milk sugar finish.

Overall, a solid brew from a new brewery to me!

Cheers!

Like the bottle says, its very creamy. The only downside would be the chocolate taste for menis a bit overpowering. Would like more bitterness & hops to shine through. If you prefer something a bit easier to drink I recommend Left Hand Milk Stout. It has a cow on a purple label.

2 yr old bottle. Pours black with thin tan head, not much lacing. Mild chocolate n coffe aroma. Really solid dark chocolate flavor with a bit of lactose sweetness in the end. Thin to medium oily slick feel. Very much enjoyed this one. Wanna try the canned Hunter.

Pours a pitch shiny black color - completely opaque. Beer appears very viscous and thick coming out of the can. Thin tan head lingers but eventually dissipates only to reappear. No lacing.

Smell has notes of roasted malts, chocolate, lactose sugars, and a touch of creamer.

Taste follows the nose with rich notes of roasted malts, cacao, milk chocolate giving way to a roasted malt backbone. Hint of sweetness comes from the lactose sugars and milk chocolate flavors. Slightly, yet pleasantly bitter finish from the buttering hops provides a nice balance to the sweet milk.

Feel is medium to full bodied. Pretty viscous. Mild to medium carbonation. Smooth and velvety feel.

Overall a lovely stout from 18th street. Really nice balance that captures the best of both Imperial and milk Stouts. Definitely a beer worth savoring again and again.
