This is an Imperial Stout aged in Wild Turkey Barrels.

A - This beer pours dark as night with an khaki colored head. The head retention is great, and the beer just sticks to the glass as bubbles slowly cascade down after a few twirls in the glass.

S - On the nose I get the whiskey up front, and notes of oak and vanilla followed. I also get a hint of roasted malt.

T - Getting the whiskey up first, and it dissipates into notes of chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, and oak. There is some sweetness in there also as the beer warms up. A touch of heat from the alcohol on the back end. Really great blend of flavors.

M - Mouthfeel is spot on for something like this. Not too light, but not so heavy to where it's syrupy or overwhelming. It coats the palate and is a very smooth drinker for the high ABV.

O - Overall I was really impressed by this. I enjoyed how the barrel isn't overpowering like it is in some of these barrel aged stouts. You get a great base beer with the added plus of well done barrel aging. This beer proves you don't have to be a big time brewery to produce a great barrel aged beer.

Ok tap at Brew and Brew. Roastiness, whiskey, chocolate and a touch of coffee on the nose. Mouthfeel on point, nice and rich. Taste is oak, whiskey, chocolate fudge. Would love to see what these guys do next, so far every IPA and this have been completely on point. Some of the most exciting beers being made in Texas without a doubt.
