This is their Bourbon Barrel Aged Ramming Speed.

A: Pours a dark, brick red color. A one finger beige head forms, and gently recedes. Light lace is left behind.
S: A bit of hops up front. Though much more malt forward than the base. Bread, biscuit, toasted malts. A chocolate sweetness. Then vanilla, and oak from the barrels. I like it.
T: Toasted malts, chocolate, vanilla, oak/wood flavors. The toasted malts are nice, and work well with the barrel flavors.
M/D: A medium to full body. Moderate carbonation. Very fine, and smooth. The body is big enough for the barrel, which is often not the case. Especially with smaller brewpubs. Easy and enjoyable to sip on. Well done.

This is a well done barrel aged barleywine. I am glad the body is big enough. A mistake that many smaller breweries make. Another hit from Pinthouse.
