Expect to get over-charged. Expect the 6-packs, cases, and single bottles you grab to not be price marked. When checking out at the register, you can expect the clerk to guess at what each price should be, by rounding up about $2 bucks each item.

...after awhile you wonder if the owners TEACH the clerks to ring things in a few dollars more than marked ???

This dump has permanently lost my business.... and that includes any establishment these 2 douches ever own in the future.

I've been here a few times now and have had a great experience each time. Great selection. Prices are a tad high but for the convenience of not having to hit up multiple stores to find what you're looking for its worth it IMO.

This has got to be the best bottle shop I've been to in Columbus. Unassuming from the outside but full of goodies inside. Shelves upon shelves upon coolers upon coolers of good beer, plus a full bar with dozens on taps for pints and growlers.

Rare stuff on tap like Triple Baptist and good local things like Columbus Bodhi. Nice and nicer bottles from Bruery, Prairie, Jackie O's, Rockmill, Hoof Hearted and lots of good and rare Belgian jawns.

Very nice employee who chatted with me, guided me through local OH beers and gave me free samples of draft beers.

I dig it!

This has been my go to place for the past year. Not anymore. I have spent a ton of money here and won't spend anymore. To start, the owner is very pushy. I don't mind suggestions for new beers, but he doesn't do that. Anytime I am checked out by him, he pushes to buy more of what I'm buying. Claiming it will sell fast, even though it doesn't. I've also witnessed him talk about his employees to reps in a demeaning way. Second, the pricing on the singles are outrageous. I understand making profit on singles, but I see price gouging. The last thing, which will make never come here again. Go in tonight to get a seasonal 12 pack and a 4 pack, don't see the 4 pack and ask the guy. He says he knows they don't have it. I saw it posted on their page, but ok, I'll get it elsewhere. The 12 pack doesn't ring up and isn't in the system. He asks how much I think it is and I tell him I think it goes for 22. He rings it at 20, ok that's nice and fine. Sign the receipt and ready to go. He says do you want to fill out the top. I ask what do you mean? He said it again, so I ask do you want a tip? He says, "well yeah, you wouldn't want to see on you account and say when did I spend $300 at savor growl." How dare you pressure me into a tip at a retail store and then passively threaten me. Congratulations on loosing a great customer. This made me look into reviews on this place and it seems they have questionable practices. Customer service is very important to me and will spend my money elsewhere. On a side note, there are two employees that currently work there that are awsome. Not sure of their names, but one always has a cap on with long hair and the other has a long beard. Both very friendly and helpful.

I am personally stunned at what some are calling bad service or bad selection.

Once a year the little lady and I make the trip from Cincinnati to Columbus and then on to Wooster
all while stopping by the local places and picking up libations for the visit. This place is now
at the top of our list which is funny since we stopped there just on a whim because of the construction
traffic which is rampant.

Layout was nice, cooler was down right frigid which is NICE, growler and
tap selection was outstanding featuring beers in every style. The bottle selection was also
fantastic with beers not only unavailable at Jungle Jim's (which is a feat) but bottles I have never
seen anywhere else including limited run brews with some of them on tap as well.

Customer service was excellent. Both gentlemen that waited on us were polite and once they knew
we were Belgian ale fans and stout fans they both started making recommendations and writing down
ales that are not in the Columbus area to see if they could get them. Knowledgeable, approachable,
and beyond polite. There were only a hand full of bottles that were not priced, for that I can not
cry too much, I have been to a lot worse and the prices that were charged were fair which is all I can
ask for, toss in good service and you make a customer for life.

This is the kind of place I not only seek out but will return to every time we are in the
area. Superb selection and superior service from both the manager and the store clerk
who was excellent as well. Top notch.

Bring multiple growlers, the selection is excellent----we filled 3 and could of easily filled 3 more but needed
some for the JAFB in Wooster Ohio.

Not sure why all the bad reviews, went there for the first time today. Had a great selection and a variation of Dragons Milk (S'mores) that I purchased a growler of. Bought some bombers as well. Staff was nice, pretty cool place.

I'm SHOCKED to see the bad reviews here! I've gone to this place a dozen times at least, and I've always been impressed. Their selection is excellent. Their people (who admittedly can be busy and hurried) absolutely know their beer. I've gotten solid recommendations, and their ability to get specific beers is excellent. Service? Well, I was there on Saturday and the guy asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I told him what I was after, and said I'd get a case if he could get it. He said, "like" us on FB, and send a note about what you're after, and we'll order it and let you know when it's in. I got on FB and "liked." I sent a note, they immediately replied with "thumbs up." 3 days later, they messaged and said it's here. I'd call that pretty awesome service. I've gotten so much here that I can't find anywhere else. Love Savor Growl.

Should have read the reviews before stopping. The clerk (short tubby fella) was beyond rude. I asked a few questions and each response was more off putting. He could not have possibly been less helpful or bigger Ahole if he tired. I was shocked and couldn't believe that actually happened until I read the reviews here and apparently the worst customer service possible is all in a days work for this place. The worse store, beer or otherwise, I've ever had the displeasure of visiting... Avoid this business!!!

Not the kind of beer store you want to go to.

Over-priced by ALOT, the owner is extremely rude and not helpful at all.

The selection is subpar and the entire atmosphere is lacking.

Don't let the nondescript exterior fool you. This little place has a great selection of beers from all over the world. Very well organized as well. I found the staff to be knowledgeable and helpful. Worth a stop if you're in the area. Take your time while browsing so you don't miss any of the hidden gems.

Service was quite terrible both times there. I tried to give it a second chance, but had the same result. I tried to ask what was new and/or notable on tap and the guy behind the counter replied with "I dunno, we have like 70 something beers on tap." I'm pretty sure he was high as a kite as well. Won't go back there with so many other better places around like Weilands, Palmers, and Pace High Carryout where they value their customers.

Too expensive. Horrible service. The owner is not someone who you want to give your hard earned beer allowance to. Not to mention, he made national beer news by buying another stores whole allocation of Hopslam in hops to resell it at a marked up price. HOPSLAMGATE 2014!

Go to Weilands. Go to Palmers. Do NOT go here for beer.

Guess how much a 64oz growler of Oberon is going to cost you here if you buy the growler at the same time. How about $26+$20 for the oberon, gtfo Savor. Also the guy below mentioned two things I can verify. They are overpriced and they do in fact fill the their own 64oz growlers just at 64oz or below which is underneath the 2 inch long neck on these things. Best part was the cashier I overheard telling a customer that they charge allot for the new growler but it all works out because the they actually hold 72oz. Guess what if they keep gyping you on the pours your getting screwed twice. On the plus side they did have a big selection of drafts. Fix your pours and prices and you can compete in the saturated cbus market.

Been here a few times now. Beer selection is good and nicely arranged.

Two major problems here:
1) price of growler glass is higher by about $2 than most every place around.
2) they don't fill growlers high enough. On a 64 oz growler they fill exactly to the 64 oz mark which leaves more room for air than they should.

I mentioned point no 2 today to them. I pointed out that not everyone is going to head right home and drink the growler so it would be in their best interest to fill to the brim to ensure the beer stays fresh for as long as possible. The guy working there pretty much shot me down saying that they expect us to drink the growlers immediately. But he did say that he would mention my concern to his management, which is encouraging.

Its a pretty nice place but here are better options that seem to be run a bit better (Daily Growler)
