A juicy variant of the classic IPA takes the traditional PsycHOPathy recipe and gives it a squeeze of real Blood Orange purée to provide a tart citrus twist with a hint of sweetness. Some are calling it the new PSL - we just call it delicious.

I got a 6pck of this from my local meijer. It poured a hazy orangish with chunks and thin white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had bitter citrus odor. The taste was more bitter than expected and had orange tang finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's an ok beer.

Look: Large, soft bubbles that are slightly off white in color, lingers to a soft foam. Sediment floating in body (brewed 9/23/18, consumed 10/19/18).
Smell: More hop than blood orange. Piney. Citrusy and orange in the background. Green and floral.
Taste: Floral brightness that immediately gives way to vibrant orange/grapefruit zestiness. Similar hoppiness to the nose.
Feel: Soft, kind of bubbly squishyness on the tongue, energetic carbonation at first though. Resinous. Lingering bitterness.
Overall: Really surprised by the vibrancy of the flavor given the pure hoppiness on the nose. Not a huge IPA fan, but I've had blood orange IPAs in the past and enjoyed them so I figured I would give this one a try. Probably wouldn't get again, but not bad for the style overall.

Sampled on tap at the Old Mohawk, Columbus, Ohio, served in a shaker pint glass. Cloudy dark orange, with a sticky long-lasting white head that left plenty of lacing. Aroma is unmistakably bready, with big notes of orange, grapefruit, citrus zest, and pine. The breadiness is not at all prominent on the palate. Big flavors of orange complement the citrusy hop character. Good mouthfeel, not at all sweet, and a pleasant lasting bitterness on the finish. Delicious and highly recommended.

Pours orange with a little dark tinge to it. Head too is tinted. Nose has a very slight hint of orange. The taste is kind of odd. I don't really get much citrus in the flavor. Not one of my favorites from MadTree.

12 FL. OZ can
Served in an IPA glass
This beer pours a deep amber color with burnt orange highlights. It is hazy. It is topped with two inches of beige head that leaves some nice lacing.
The blood orange doesn't overpower the smell. I get plenty of citrus aroma from the base beer to compliment the blood orange.
The taste is smooth with plenty of blood orange. The citrus fromt he base comes through just like in the smell.
Pillowy mouthfeel
This is a decent beer. It is good for an everyday drinker but nothing remarkable.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 9/29/2017. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy golden orange/amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of juicy blood orange, lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/pine/earthy hops, blood orange, and moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big juicy blood orange, lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind/herbal/grassy/peppery bitterness and light fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of blood orange, lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine/earthy hops, blood orange, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness and fruit tartness balance; with zero astringent hop/fruit flavors after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from bitterness and tart/tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, sticky/resinous/rindy, and lightly acidic/tangy balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 6.9%. Overall this is a very nice fruited IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine/earthy hops, blood orange, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Fairly aggressive, but not overwhelming. Classic C hop profile. Balanced juicy and dank hops/fruit; nice bready malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness. A very enjoyable offering. Liked it just as much as the base beer, but more juicy on this one from fruit.
