A: Pours a relatively clear light to medium golden honey in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and faint medium golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy white head that reduces to a small patch of thin film surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of citrus/orange, tropical/mango, and tropical/papaya hops over the top of light aromas of grainy + biscuit + lightly toasted malts with a hint of grainy sweetness.

T: Upfront there are slightly heavier than light flavors of grainy + biscuit + lightly toasted malts with a hint of grainy sweetness. That is followed by light to moderate flavors of citrus/orange, tropical/mango, and tropical/papaya hops which impart a light amount of lingering bitterness.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a nice crisp refreshing mouthfeel. Enjoyable with a pleasant hop profile and a decent amount of malt complexity for such an easy drinker. Definitely could put down a couple of these.

12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 8/8/2017. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy golden amber/light orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel, light pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/fruity/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel, light pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness.Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/fruity/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is an outstanding American pale ale! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/fruity/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful and never watery. Really great mix of juicy, vibrant, and dank hop complexity; nice bready Munich malt backbone, with no residual sweetness. Citra, Simcoe, and Mosaic; awesome hop showcase. A highly enjoyable offering, one of the best session pale ales I have had.

Mild pine aroma, pours a slightly hazy amber with a white head. More bitterness in the flavor then is hinted at by the aroma. Light bodied, with a crisp bitter finish. A perfectly sessionable beer, although a bit basic.

Hazy amber with a bubbly off-white finger of foam.

I get orange, grapefruit and cracker through a crisp, light body with mild bitterness. Nice easy drinker, except for some hints of butter and wood.

Review from BA Mag Issue #119 ( Dec 2016 )

Crisp, Citrus, Refreshing, Balanced
I’ll admit it proudly, we all need those beers that we can pound back, or, more respectfully, “have a proper session with.” Sadly, many so-called Session Ales are just watery impressions of a trendy style. Thankfully that is not the case with PSA. This well balanced, juicy, and crisp APA dangles a whole lot of flavor over the palate, and the body is light enough to keep the drinkability high. I wasn’t really worried about the hop character with this one, even before my first sip the aroma of hops drew me in. The maltiness comes through as well though, with some complexity that pulled me in even further. I can’t get enough. [Jason]

Poured out of a can into a pint glass.

Nice yellow orange color with a fluffy off white head that leaves decent lacing.

Smells of pineapple and light malt.

Taste is rather deep for a session ale. Sits well on the plate and finishes crisp. Clean pineapple, light stone fruit and semi-sweet malts. Very tasty.

Goes down easy. Moderate carbonation keeps things moving.

I am quite impressed as this one drinks more like a 6-7 % IPA. Recommended and will definately have this one again.

I got this beer in a beer trade. I thought it was very good.

Look: Amber almost reddish with a thin white head.

Aroma: citrus and tropical fruit

Taste: Pine, tropical fruit, mango, citrus, juicy, well balanced.

Feel: Light to medium body, crisp and easy drinking, definitely sessionable
