I bought a can of this tasty treat from Andersons in Reynoldsburg, OH. It poured a hazy golden with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent is a nice mix of citrus and pine. The taste is nicely balanced with bitter citrus and pine....very easy to drink. The Mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a winner and should be enjoyed by all.

Nice malt backbone paired with mild hops make this beer very crushable without the sac rice to flavor you see in so many session ales. Perfect for relaxing after yard work or regular work.

Review from BA Mag Issue #119 ( Dec 2016 )

Crisp, Citrus, Refreshing, Balanced
I’ll admit it proudly, we all need those beers that we can pound back, or, more respectfully, “have a proper session with.” Sadly, many so-called Session Ales are just watery impressions of a trendy style. Thankfully that is not the case with PSA. This well balanced, juicy, and crisp APA dangles a whole lot of flavor over the palate, and the body is light enough to keep the drinkability high. I wasn’t really worried about the hop character with this one, even before my first sip the aroma of hops drew me in. The maltiness comes through as well though, with some complexity that pulled me in even further. I can’t get enough. [Jason]

12oz can poured into a snifter
Canned 6/24/16

A- pours a deep clear golden color with a small foamy white head that reduces to a ring around the edge of the glass, some lacing left behind

S- nice mix of fruity hops up front with aromas of berry, citrus peel, mango, guava & pear. Underlying sweet bready malt

T- fruity hop flavor follows the nose with flavors of mango, passionfruit, stone fruit, citrus peel & a hint of grass. Soft underlying toasted malt provides an outstanding balance that leaves a nice toasted linger, along with more fruity hop

M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that finishes crisp and semi-dry

O- everything you look for in a session beer, outstanding balance, but loaded with plenty of fruity hop flavor, well done

Enjoyed from the can in a pint glass. This nice session from a friend from work (THANKS KEVIN) pours a lightly cloudy yellowish amber with a nice head of white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin layer and excellent lacing. Nose of light grains, light citrus, and bittering hops. Flavors hit the right notes for the style with subtle grains cloaked in a sea of pine and bittering hops with a light bitter aftertaste with very little malt backbone. Almost an IPA in flavor. Nice mouth feel, crisp, refreshing, and nicely carbonated. Overall a good session, but lacking in the malt department.

12 FL. OZ. can
Served in a MadTree becker glass

This beer pours amber in color and is slightly hazy. An aggressive pours yields three finger of fluffy, beige head that leaves decent lacing.

The smell is a citrus medley.

The taste is more dank and pine. The malt really doesn't come through like I expected.

Medium mouthfeel

This is a nice beer. It doesn't pretend to be a watered down IPA. It is a flavorful pale ale that I could drink a metric shit ton of.

A: The beer is hazy amber yellow in color—too hazy to see if there is any visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles on the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of citrus and tropical fruit hops are present in the nose—oranges seem to stand out in particular along with notes of mangos.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of oranges, mangos, and papayas with a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels a bit shy of being medium-bodied on the palate and is crisp with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The lighter-bodied nature of this beer makes it very drinkable, but it is remarkably aromatic and flavorful for a sessionable IPA.

On Tap at South Park Tavern, Dayton. Served in a 10oz stemmed glass since I asked for a half pour.

Appearance: Hazy gold. ¼” white foam, plenty of persistent lacing.

Smell: Tropical fruit and lemon citrus.

Taste: Tropical fruit (mango), lemon, cracker like malt – more hoppy than anything else. Lemon rind and citrus bitter finish.

Mouthfeel: A bit thin, but good carbonation.

Overall/Drinkability: A no frills, but hoppy American Pale Ale, which worked for me with a slice or two of pizza over a quick business discussion before I went back to work. I would have had a larger glass had I not as much work to do, and wouldn't have minded a full serving, but I don't think I'd want more than one. So in a way, it's a proper session ale isn't it? You have one beer at that session and you're done.

Hazy amber with a bubbly off-white finger of foam.

I get orange, grapefruit and cracker through a crisp, light body with mild bitterness. Nice easy drinker, except for some hints of butter and wood.

Tannish golden color with a good white head and sticky lacing. Great citrus and some tropical fruit hop scent. For a session it has an incredible hoppy citrus tropical fruit taste. Medium body and carbonation edging towards light for both. Fantastic beer that'll be fantastic for the summer!
