Light mouthfeel, with a very nice floral hop aroma, and a distinctly lemony hop note. Nice and refreshing, would make a nice summer session ale if not for the 6.9% ABV.

Pours golden. The head is lightly golden as well. Nose is heavy with citrus. The taste is citrus and bitter goodness. After taste carries in fir quite a while. Good solid ipa.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 8/9/2017. Bit of a gusher can. Pours very hazy/cloudy golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/earthy/piney hops and bready malt flavors; with solid strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, cracker, biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy/piney hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.9%. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy/piney hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Very classic tasting Midwest style IPA. Dank and vibrant Centennial, Chinook, Cascade hops; nice bready malt backbone, with no residual sweetness. A very enjoyable offering.

Bigger, rockier head. More intense tropical fruit and citrus aroma.

This can (left in a cool garage for a couple of weeks) just presented more appealing look and smell this time around. All in all, a pretty awesome IPA.
-----------------------------------------------------------

A respectable golden hued body beer sporting a frothy, sticky, white head. Nice aroma combination of light malts and pine and citrus-forward hops. Bitter, citric, bread crust-like flavor; white pepper. Medium-heavy body; velvety; semi-dry finish.

A well-balanced, decently complex IPA. It brings on some nice hop tones; bitter and spicy. The feel is a bit slicker than many IPAs yet very welcome. A fine offering and well-worth seeking out...

I had this on draught in a sports bar in Cincinnati. 16 oz. pour in a pint glass. It pours a medium amber color with a nice layer of milk-white head and lots of lacing with good retention. The smell is subdued and primarily malty with mild pine, grapefruit, grass, and hops. This is a decidedly malt-forward IPA with brown bread and caramel. There is also notes of grapefruit but the hops play only a supporting role. This ale is fairly creamy with pleasing carbonation and it's 6.9% ABV gives it substance without distracting from the other attributes. Overall, PsycHOPathy is an excellent example of a southern style, malt-forward IPA. It's a nice change of pace from over-the-top West Coast and NE versions.
