This dry-hopped ale combines carmel and biscuit malt flavors in happy equilibrium with late addition American hops. The approachable balance is intentional although the name is "hoppy accident."

A - Dark amber, red color with an off white head
S - Malty smell with hop notes, citrus.
T - Carmel Malt and a nice hoppy pine taste blending in. Smooth.
M -medium mouth feel, decent carbination level and very crisp. hop finish is a pleasant bitter.
O - Very solid, easy to drink and enjoyable to drink. I don't drink a lot of ambers or reds but this is done right and will be a go to when I crave the style.

This is a pretty one, a deep red-orange hue with lots of brightness and clarity with a big, fluffy but tight off-white head that settles to a thick layer which proceeds to lace the glass pretty heavily.
Hoppy but balanced, this beer's malt bill handles the nice heft of pine, flora, earth and perfume that the hops put up front. Ambers have never needed to be bland or boring, and this one follows the trend of putting some actual character into the style. It's remenicent of a very well-balanced traditional (think old school) IPA, the kind that existed before it was all and only hops and subtlety was lost. Malts are on the dry and somewhat danker end, but there is a nice brightness. Hops end up putting a little citrus into a lingering semi-dry finish.
A little bit of bite with crispness mingles with a good frontal smoothness and keeps it going pretty well. The body holds at a steady medium, and carbonation is well presented and consistent to the end.

12 ounce can, canned on 11/07/2014. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a slightly hazy orange/amber with about an inch off-white head. Head retention is good, and there's a lot of lacing. The brew smells like citrusy (grapefruit, citrus peel) and floral hops, and caramel and bready malt. I think the taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there's also a bit of orange noticeable too. Great balance between the hoppy and malty flavors. There's also a nice hoppy bitter finish, too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit coating and is well carbonated. I liked this brew, I might have to pick up a sixer of this soon. Got to try it at $1.67 a can, definitely worth picking up!

Clear amber color. Smooth, easy to drink. Smells of malt and pinnaple. Much more hops than a normal Amber. I appreciate the risk in doing something different.

Pours a dark amber red with a nice khaki head, which does a nice job sticking around. Aroma is toffee, a touch of roastiness, bread, and some pine. Flavor follows suit. Medium bodied with some activity. Overall, I find 95% of amber ales fall in the boring category, so its always nice to find an amber ale that is good. And this one is more than good, one of the very best ambers going, IMO. Definitely a malty beer, but nice supporting hops going as well.

12 oz can in Dublin Ohio.
Pours with a copper colored body and a good head.
Hoppy aroma for style. This partially carries over to the taste, especially in the mildly bitter aftertaste.

O: a hopped up Amber beer that leans strongly towards a pale ale.

This "hoppy" amber would make a great summer beer for the drinker who likes a hop heavy lighter brew.

I bought a can of this tasty beer from Andersons in Reynoldsburg, OH. It poured a slightly hazy amber with white head and nice lace. The scent has faint malt. The taste is sweet caramel malt that finish a touch bitter to come off pallet clean. The Mouthfeel is medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a very good amber.
