Beer is copper in color didn't pour a large head and doesn't seem to carry much retention or lacing either. But the flavor of the beer I personally found superb hits perfectly on what a pumpkin pie would taste like in a liquid form. You get a nice soft pumpkin flavor and a nice compliment of pumpkin pie spices.

Appearance - Pours a crystal clear, darkened amber that hits on ruby highlights when held to light. The head was no more than a half finger in depth and the retention was sub-par, leaving virtually no suds across the surface after dissipation. Excellent color, but a flat, lifeless appearance.

Smell - Strong notes of pumpkin and cinnamon. Moderate touches of nutmeg.

Taste - Follows the nose. Strong notes of pumpkin and cinnamon spice upfront and throughout. Nutmeg and earth hit moderately toward the finish. An ever so distant spice bite, like Red Hots, lingers in the finish.

Mouthfeel - Light to medium in body with a sharp, lively bite from the carbonation. Goes down crisp and clean.

Overall - Another great brew from these guys. I find most pumpkin beers miss the mark - this one's not quite a bullseye, but it hits for solid points.

Pours a clear reddish-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Thin streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, brown sugar, pumpkin pie, and pumpkin pie spice aromas. Taste is much the same with earth, brown sugar, and pumpkin pie flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with nice actual pumpkin pie characteristics that are more than just the spices used in making one.

Serving type: bottle.

Poured a finger of head on a dark amber colored body.
The aroma is all pumpkin and a little spice. Pumpkin pie.
The taste is a little watery, mild pumpkin, mild lemon bitter.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
An okay beer. It didn't have a lot of flavor; pumpkin or otherwise.
