Light golden color. Light bodied, malty, earthy hops, and a slight floral note. Everything is well balanced. Smooth and well carbonated. Refreshing.

At the Raleigh Brewing, from a keg, poured into a pint glass.
Appears yellow, white foamy head
Smells slightly malty, floral
Tastes, creamy smooth, bready, lemon.
Mouth feel is medium light, creamy and smooth.
Overall I thought it was very good for the style and would order again.

Look: It pours light golden with good head retention. It is quite clear in appearance.

Smell: There is an aroma of spice and some bread with some low fruit and slight grass.

Taste: The flavor is malt forward with bread and some spice. The spiciness of the hops with bitterness becomes a bit more pronounced in the finish.

Feel: It has a moderate body with moderate carbonation.

Overall, the beer is balanced more toward the malts but the hops are noticeable and pleasant.

COD 7/6/17. Pours a cloudy light amber, slightly darker than gold. Normal head volume, lacing and retention.

Very good nose that is subtly sweet from bready malt and a solid dose of biscuit. Light floral and sweet citrus notes are present.

Light body that has a smooth texture that provides a very subtle touch of oiliness at the finish. Almost outstanding carbonation / body balance. The middle is lightly effervescent while the finish is prickly. A bit more effervescence would make it outstanding.

The flavor profile is very good but doesn't quite make outstanding. Intensity and complexity are a bit light and lead to a perception of lack of depth, although tasty. Flavors follow the nose except that sweetness is less pronounced than in the aroma. Consequently, the fruit aspects are understated while an herbal aspect has center stage. Bitterness is normal for the style and is herbal in nature. The finish provides a touch of light orange and herbal bitterness lingers

Pours pale yellow. Foamy, short, white head fades fast. Light sediment.

Smells grassy, malt, citrus, floral and hint of yeast.

Tastes grassy and lemon at first. Followed by floral and bready malt. Finish is dry light bitter with yeasty hints. Lighter medium body and fizzy lower medium carbonation.

Can dated 5/10/2016. Poured into Dinkel Acker mug. It pours a clear straw color with one finger of milk-white head and lacing, of good retention, and champagne-line bubbles ascending the mug through the pour. Not much of a smell; mostly yeast and grass with a hint of spice. The taste was much better than I expected: cereal malt, cracker, a very light lemon peel, and a touch of pepper at the finish. It is light, crisp, well-carbonated, and easy to drink with an ABV of only 5.1%. Overall, I was favorably impressed with this Czech Pilsener, enough so that I will seek out other Raleigh Brewing offerings the next time I'm in North Carolina.

Local brewery takes on the pride of Plzen, which is actually in western Bohemia, not Moravia, but who's counting? Straw colored head with persistant white head.

The yeast and hops seem on point for the style. Definitely a little sweet with light biscuit notes but relatively dry throughout, rendering it very drinkable. Light and smooth, this is simple yet good; it knows what it is and doesn't try to do too much.

Poured from can

L: Straw yellow with a very slight haze. Minimal lacing, but active carbonation streams.
S: There's a hint of the subtle sulphuric note distinctive to pilsners, as well as a lot of sweetness, making this more reminiscent of a helles lager.
T: Hop acids are the first thing I notice, and they carry past the lager crispness. They don't taste like the noble family, at least not for flavoring. Not that I'm a stickler. These are plenty spicy, but have more lemony zest than I expected. Properly over hopped like it's Moravian inspiration.
F: Like a good Czech pils, it leaves the palate dry, with little residual sweetness.
O: They took the inspiration seriously, though I could go for an even chewier version of this. I need my Czech pilsners to stink with grassy hops. Still a good flavor and it leans to the south more than the typical approximations of the similar German style.

Pair with brazes potatoes, pork soup, beef goulash

Poured a hazy pale gold with a big white head. The head remains around the edges and leaves bits of lacing here and there. The aroma is grassy, flowery and yeasty. The taste has a tangy malt sweetness with a flowery finish and a spiciness that I wasn't really expecting. There is also some cracker and hops at the finish. This beer reminds me a lot of a Belgian ale.

Poured into a Double Barley can-shaped glass. Bottom of can says 113015.

A- Pours a medium golden color with a 3/4 inch white fizzy head that retains well before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a full sheet of sheer surface foam. Not-so-resilient lacing leaves small clots behind.

S- Sweet cracker malt with some honey notes.

T- Flavor is also sweet but not as much as the aroma lets on. More cracker malt but doesn't have that weak finish a lot of other pilsners have. Very easy to drink with just a kiss of hop bitterness.

M- Somewhat dry and crisp with medium carbonation and a light body.

O- Although it's not brewed to style due to the level of sweetness, I really like this beer. Could totally see myself crushing these in the summer.

This is for the most part a simple Pilsner malt lager. Cereal malts, a twist of lemon but the mid palate has a sour malt that is distracting. The feel isn't as crisp as expected but it's not bad at all.
