This 'Fair Weather Ale' came on tap in a pint glass. The ale had a very nice clear gold colour to it, with a faint smell of sweet malts and floral notes. The bright malts were present as well in the flavor, and finished with a hint of bitter hop. Clean finish, with no lingering aftertastes.

Would I buy this beer again? Probably.

O: A refreshing summer beer.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a tall pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a bright and clear golden orange with a lot of rising bubbles. Solid two finger off white head which slowly fades into a thin creamy layer. Leaves a decent amount of lacing.

Smell: A sweet, fruity, and fairly floral malt forward aroma with good hints of fruit and flowers. Pale malt with bready and sweet hints of biscuit, grains, cracker, and straw. European noble hop hints with some grass and floral hints. Fruit hints of orange and lemon. Some hints of the added rose hips come through as well. A pretty decent light blonde aroma.

Taste: Like the smell hints at, a bready, sweet, and floral malt driven taste with notes of fruit and flowers. Bready pale malt with notes of biscuit, grains, straw, and crackers. Earthy and floral Noble hops with some notes of grass and spice. Taste of the rose hips come through. Fruit notes of lemon and orange. Nice balance between the sweet malt and hops. A pretty nice light blonde taste.

Mouthfeel: Light bodied with a medium to high level of carbonation. Crisp, creamy, and very smooth.

Overall: A solid take on the Blonde Ale style. The rose hips add an interesting kick.

Pours a clear golden color with a dense finger of head that was slow to settle. Eventually it settles to a thick cap. Heavy lacing is left down the glass.

Has a distinctive aroma for a mild mannered blond ale. The rose hips give off a floral and fruity aroma. Almost like floral honey. It compliments the slightly bready grain smell.

Slightly sweet flavor that the rose hips compliments. Floral notes with honey, pears, grapes, and cereal. A complex little beer perhaps a little too sweet for my tastes.

Light and lively body. Nice fit for the beer and flavor profile. Other than the sweetness, this is quite enjoyable drinker that should appeal to new craft drinkers and the beer geeks.

color is nice on this one - clear and golden yellow, with a white head and lots of lacing. nothing unpleasant floating around in there. carbonation is active in the glass.

smell is floral, which seems pretty expected considering the rose hips. there's a bit of sweeter smelling citrus there, too, perhaps, or maybe lemon zest.

taste is rose and sweet floral up front, with a crackery finish. it's very sweet.

mouthfeel is surprisingly chewy for me, but not heavy at all. mild carbonation.

no one's going to wait in line for this one, and it's not an everyday fridge favorite, but there's really no reason this beer was added 2 years ago and only has a handful of reviews. it's an interesting brew in a good way.
